I have been using my Lenovo ideapad u450p webcam for a long time but this was the first time that my webcam is not working, I have reinstalled the driver from the internet but when I installed it it says "Matching device not detected" so can you help me with this thanks :)

I THIN BACKING UP TO A DVD WILL DO IT BUT THIS NOT PRATICAL IN REAL LIFE TRY IT

You have to reinstall your webcam driver whcih bundled with your webcam..

and install your motherboard driver to enable your system drivers...

Go to control panel and click system icon. Got to device manager and see if webcam is detected by your computer. Reinstall the driver of your webcam by going to lenovo site.

HI. Try disabling/enabling the webcam by pressing Fn and Esc key. If same thing happen then you may need to reinstall driver for your webcam. You may download the driver to this link.

I see that you need driver installed on you system, since you reinstalled windows on your Y510, make sure you check device manger on your system to see what driver you my need to install or probably you may need to reinstall all the drivers to make everything work fine on the Laptop.

Once in the Download page make sure you only download the driver that is for the exact Windows on your system, it will say on the right side of each driver indicating what windows the driver is for.

you will have to take the notebook apart - i had fixed a few .... you have to take out a lot of screws - any notebook hard drive can be replaced
