How Control Your PC with a Wii Remote –

Control Your PC with a Wii Remote –

While some of us who jumped on the Wii bandwagon have a great time with Super Mario Galaxy and Cooking Mama, there are undoubtedly a few regretful gamers who just can’t get the hang of Nintendo's waggle-based gaming console. But there’s no need to chuck that Wii out the windows yet---you can use the Wii Remote as a wireless pointer for your PC!
Find a compatible Bluetooth Adapter -
The Wii Remote uses Bluetooth to connect to the Wii, but Windows will also recognize it as a human Interlace Device. To connect the Wii Remote your PC, you’ll need a compatible Bluetooth receiver. Most new laptops have integrated Bluetooth, but you can also purchase a USB Bluetooth receiver online for less than $25.

Pair the Wii Remote with your PC -
I paired the Wii Remote with our Dell laptop using the "Add Bluetooth Device" option in the Windows control Panel. For the laptop to recognize the controller, I also had to press the red sync button in the Wii Remote’s battery compartment. Your PC should detect it as Nintendo RVL-CNT-01. No Bluetooth passkey should be required.

Run WiinRemote software –
Now, download and launch the latest version of WiinRemote  (Download  it from http://onakasuita.org/wii/index-e.html). If you successfully paired your Wii Remote, the program will let you calibrate the motion sensor and assign buttons. By default, The program user site controller's gyroscope to control your mouse cursor. The Wii Nunchuck peripheral’s analog stick will also control mouse movement. Yon can achieve more accurate control by activating their sensor, bus you’ll need to mount two infrared light sources above your monitor for this to work. The Wii's IR light bar is suitable, and I powered it by splicing its proprietary plug into a USB cable.

So sit back and enjoy the comfort of using a PC with a remote......

Usb dongle is not working

Step 1:
A Bluetooth dongle is an external Bluetooth device used to enable your PC's Bluetooth connection. Many Bluetooth dongles come without installation disks since the software is pre-programmed into the actual USB stick. These Bluetooth dongles are very useful on netbooks that don't have Bluetooth connection, since netbooks have no CD-Rom drives. Turn on your PC. Insert the USB Bluetooth dongle into the USB port on your desktop tower, or the USB ports located on the perimeter of your laptop. Wait for the program to auto run. Once you connect your dongle, the driver program should launch. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the dongle. A dialogue box should open that says "Installing Drivers" from the taskbar. Allow the driver to install completely before closing the box. Unplug the dongle and restart your PC. Once the PC has been switched on, insert the dongle. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." This is the Bluetooth icon located in your taskbar, and it should launch the "Initial Bluetooth Configuration Wizard." Click "Next" on the first screen. Next, type in the name of your computer and select your computer type from the drop-down menu, then click "Next." Click "Skip" on the onscreen prompts, then finish. Pairing the Devices Turn on your external Bluetooth device. Double-click "My Bluetooth Places." Select "Find Bluetooth Devices." The name your Bluetooth device should display in the next window. Right click the icon for your Bluetooth device, and scroll down to "Pair Device." Enter the Bluetooth pin code for your external device in the "Bluetooth Pin Code Request" pop-up window. Then click "OK." The default pin code is normally "0000" or "12345." You can find your pin code in your user manual. If you are pairing a cell phone to your PC, you will have to enter the same pin code on your cell phone to establish the Bluetooth connection.

Headphones are a convenient way to experience audio-rich entertainment on your own terms. Headphones allow you to customize your listening level without disturbing other people in your general vicinity. Headphone cables can be a hassle, however, so many new headphone models feature a wireless connection. PCs tend to be wire jungles, so eliminating one wire from a potentially jumbled mess can be an intriguing feature of wireless headphones. Connecting wireless headphones to your PC allows you to take advantage of the benefits of listening to your movies, music or games through headphones without the struggle of the headphone cable.

Charge up or place batteries in your headphones and transmitter. Wireless headphones require power to function. Many wireless headphones come with a charger base. You need to charge your headphones before you attempt to connect them to your PC. Some wireless headphone models require batteries, which you must install before you connect the headphones to the PC. Connect the transmitter to your PC. The transmitter may connect via the PC's headphone jack or USB port. If the transmitter connects to the headphone jack, plug it in and check your headphone's user guide to verify how to synchronize the headphones to the transmitter. If the transmitter connects via USB, you will likely need to install software to use your wireless headphones. If your wireless headphones are Bluetooth-compatible, continue to the next step. Pair your headphones via Bluetooth to your PC. If your PC is not Bluetooth-equipped, you will need to install a Bluetooth USB dongle. Turn on your headphones and open the Bluetooth software on your PC. Scan for Bluetooth devices from your PC. Your headphones should appear. Select the headphones and follow any further instructions to complete the pairing process. Test the headphones. Pick out a song or a video and play it on your PC. Connect your wireless headphones and verify that you can hear the audio. Find the volume controls on your headphones and adjust them to make sure the volume changes correctly. If your headphones are not functioning properly, verify that the headphones are turned on. If the headphones are on and you do not hear anything, verify that your transmitter is functioning properly and that you have your volume turned up on your PC. Recharge your headphones when you are finished using them. To ensure that the headphones are ready anytime you need them, you must always place them on the charging base when you are finished using them. If the headphones are battery-powered, be sure that you always have spare batteries on hand. Hope this helps.

Headphone jack not functioning properly

This is the normal way for this laptop ..leave it always with the headphones on selected in that list ..cause if the main speakers don't work well there is no point in using them ..This way you will run whatever yo will plug in ..speakers or headphones..The only setting difference in headphones and stereo out ..is that for headphones will but the speakers of the laptop when plugged in ..This way it will even help you if the speakers are making weird noises cause they are damaged ..

Unable to pair Sonyericsson HBH DS200 bluetooth headphone to PC with win 7. Error message: Drivers required.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps.
