They have to be available options on the normal Remote.
Get them from the database or learn the old remote, but most will be the same steps.
As in need to go to menu then select COntrast then go on from there.
Most times changing contrast will be used seldomly thus not a big issue in reality but it should be in there.

when you post a questions the you have to added the make and model number of the tv or the appliances for which you need an answer. there are millions of televisions in different brand and model number also have different settings. so please try to add the details with question.. Refer to TVs user manual, and make it a reset. Reset to factory defaults will make all settings correct. you might have to adjust the brightness, contrast, should be lightly touched according to your viewing taste.
go to the manufacture website and look up your model of remote. Then program your remote to the tv. If you have done this then this next part is just for you. Usually u can adjust all the tv settings from the menu button. Make sure that the Remote is operating in a range of 3 to 10 feet away from the unit.
Point the Remote directly towards the Remote Sensor of the Device.
Remove any obstacles that may be in the path of Remote and the Sensor.
Make sure that no interference is blocking the Remote to operate normally. Do not expose directly to Sunlight, bright florescent lights etc.
Try resetting the Remote by removing the batteries from the Remote control, press every button twice, and then re-install the batteries after 1 minute.
Make sure that none of the buttons on the Remote control is jammed.
Install fresh alkaline batteries in the Remote, do not use rechargeable batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are inserted by matching the polarity (+ & -).
Try resetting the Blu-ray Disc Player with which you're using the Remote.
If the issue persists, after all the possible troubleshooting steps, service may be required.
is this a universal remote ? universal remotes are just that and they replace lost or broken units but usualy dont come with instructions for your set and have extra buttons and are problems for most as its like the cockpit of a jet and your being thrown in there is it possible to get a original remote for your model to take away the operating greif ?
