Question about Dell Inspiron B130 Notebook
Our laptop will not boot up windows, the logo appears briefly then it switches to a blue screen which says 'A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.' It wants me to run CHKDSK /F but from the advice I have read I need to be in Windows to do this! Windows will not run in Safe mode or in last successful configuration, it really won't boot any way, any how. I removed some icons from the desktop and when I went to copy a CD, it wouldn't do it so I tried to System restore and it hasn't booted since. I think I may have removed something I shouldn't have. Can anyone help please?
I had this same problem and I just bought a new OS, which can be expensive but it is a quick fix

It looks like a possible corrupted operating system, if it is possible to open the laptop up, unplug and replug the RAM and if possible the hard drive too, this is too reisky but it can help out. if it is not possible, go to your BIOS, then put the CD rom in BOOT Priority, then reboot the computer with the OS CD in the CD Rom, once the window initializes, you will see a "Repair / Recover" option in the CD, select it and let it run.
if that did not work, OS reinstallation will be your final fix, but do back you files up if in case.
