Question about Clarion DRX-9675Z CD Player
I have had this cd player for a long time. Before I removed it from my car it was having problems reading cds, so I replaced it. I tried installing it in my bro's car and we have all the connection right, voltage is there, but it will not power on. I took it apart and cleaned it up and tried it again. Nothing, so I forced the face open like it does when you push the eject button, and it powered on. But when the face closes it goes blank, and nothing works. I have tried to reset it as well... Any Ideas?
You may have a bad contact on the faceplate or on the main head unit. You can try cleaning the electrical contacts with a small amount of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If this doesn't help, then you may need either piece serviced. Often times the solder joints on the PC boards inside the head unit or inside the face may need to be repaired. A local stereo shop can check for this or a local electronics repair can look for "cold solder joints"
