This is a messy frustrating job, and if you had to put a price on the hassle that it is, it is probably better to pay somebody else to do it. That said, remove the starter cover with the cord and pulley inside. If there is a plate holding down the cord pulley, remove it and carefully lift out the pulley, try not to dislodge the recoil spring as this is where the frustration part comes in. Remove the old cord and insert the new cord end into the hole and copy the old knot - pass the other end of the cord through the eyelet in the cover. N.B. At this time take note of the direction that the recoil spring coil is orientated. Wind about 3/4 of the cord around the pulley and attach the start handle to the outside end of the cord. Carefully fit the pulley over the spring and place the cord into the cutout in the pulley. Wind up the pulley so that it engages in the curl in the inside of the recoil spring and further wind up the pulley in the opposite direction of the normal pulley start pull, holding the cord in the little cut-out so that the cord does not wind up as you wind the spring. It probably takes about 5 extra turns on the pulley to get the recoil tension right. Always hold the pulley in place to prevent the spring from jumping out. Release the cord so it can retract and replace the retaining plate. This is all if the spring does not jump out - which it so often does.
If the spring jumps out, hold it by the inside portion and start winding it up, pulling it tight to keep the coil small enough to fit back into its receptacle, . Once the spring is wound up and will fit into its position the problem starts. I found that gripping the spring with an alligator jaw vice grip will allow you to replace the spring and carefully release it without it going wild again, engaging the outer hook in its retaining slot or around its peg. Trying to feed the spring into position coil by coil seldom works, it has to be wound up outside and then inserted, especially on a small motor.
This procedure is as difficult to explain as it is to carry out. I have done many cord replacements and always dread the next one. If you have any problems, feel free to come back to me.

Before you pull the starter cover off, the clutch needs to be removed.
How do you remove the clutch?

Once you have removed the tube, head and cable, there is an extended nut that acts as the cable drive as well. Block the engine so that the crankshaft cannot turn and undo this nut. This will remove the clutch drum and give access to the flyweight plate which should then also come away and you should have access to the starter assembly. This is from memory as it was a while ago I did a Ryobi with a clutch. (Paul Diamond is correct about his comments on Ryobi back-up etc.)

I need a new electrical cord for my crock pot.

These should be available from any electrical shop. Very often even kettle cords will fit crockpots. Take the old cord with you when you shop.

I need a new power cord for my sansui hdlcd 1908 flat screen TV, where can I buy a new one cheap?

Check to see if the power cord input on the TV has the same plug shape as the one that fits into your computer tower or monitor. Many modern TVs use the same standard power cord as a desktop computer or monitor.

If it does use the same cord, then you should easily be able to find a replacement cord for a couple dollars at most since that is such a common item. You or someone you know may even have a spare one lying around leftover from an old computer system.

Good luck.

The start rope line is cut. How do I replace it?

you can buy new starter cord from smallplantsalesuk on ebay ,as to fitting the new cord, don't know your machine but you need to remove the cover where the cord comes out, normally removing the cover means loosening 4 screws ,fitting it thread the new cord through the spool, making a knot on the end, winding on the same length of cord that you take off, threading through cover and back through the handle, and again a knot rgds

Music only comes out of one side

It depends where you pulled the cord? If you pulled it near the earpiece you could have disconected the the wire from the speaker. In which case you need to remove the pad, pull off any foam (you can glue it back after) this will reveal access screws. You can then look inside to see the damage.
If you have however pulled it at the plug end, you will need to fit a new plug. If you can use a soldering iron it's not too hard to fit a new one. If you don't know how let me know and I will post additional info on it.

Hello, i need a new power cord for fryer ultrex LT 512, you know where can i get it?

These units are low end manufactured and availability of replacement parts is very limited. My search indicates Ultrex is no longer in business.

You may try to find a local appliance parts store to see if they can fit a cord for you. There are many universal designs available that may fit your unit.
