Where is the back-up light switch physically located? Is there a diagram available that shows the location? My Haines manual does not show it.

Hello jack isuzu
If you have a manual trans. with a 3.2 it's on top of the trans. if you have a 2.2 it's on the right side of the trans. My diagram does not show a seperate switch for the backup lights on an automatic
transmission, it may be part of the trans. gear position switch on the left side of the transmission.
Look for a red+yellow wire from the rear of the truck to the transmission, this wire runs from the
backup lights and you should be able to follow it back to the switch. Hope this is helpful.

Testimonial: "Todytwo was right on with where the switch is located. I found it and replaced it with his help."

Thanks Todytwo. I do have a 3.2L with a manual tranny. So it's on top of the tranny then? My Haynes manual doesn't seem to show this switch which will make this challenging. I hope I don't regret not letting the shop do this one for me. Thought I'd save the $120 labor since I'm unemployed. If you have any tips feel free to put them out here. Thanks again.

One big problem after replacing the switch - now I can't get the tranny to go into reverse or 5th gear. Nothing mentioned in the Haynes manual about this either. Is there a simple resolution to this that doesn't involve pulling the tranny off?

Were is the backup light switch located on a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 4.7 Automatic transmission not a manual transmission, i going nuts

Traditionally, it is located on the transmission body. Metal clad with two pin or wires. it works like a pushbutton switch.
However, new cars do not have that anymore especially auto or CVT trannys. Instead the switch is incorporated in the "gear position switch" assembly. Some are located on the transmission, some are located and the gear lever. This switch also help to show the driver and the transmission control unit what position the gear lever is at.

Can you show the diagram for jeep a liberty 2007 serpentine belt?

Get a Chilton's or Haines Auto repair manual. Pepboys or Oreilly auto stores carry them.....about $20. It will have your specific auto's diagram and probably removal/replacement steps to follow too!

How do i find location fuelpump relay

I had a G20 van a few years ago (honestly hated the thing but it wouldn't die). CHECK THE INERTIA SWITCH. 99% of the time, the inertia switch is the issue, not the relay.
As I recall, either the Chilton or Clymer aftermarket service manual has a fuel system breakout diagram showing the location. These manuals are available at most local libraries. I'd suggest that you make a small investment in buying an aftermarket repair manual, and you'll do yourself a great favor.

i usually grab a Haynes or Chilton's manual at the library (for free) otherwise, you could drop around $20 bucks at your local auto parts store,. either way, call ahead for availability..

here is an older post --
if you go to autozone.com and put in your vehicle info they will have a diagram that will show you the location of course you have to use there search engine

I dont have lighst in my instruments clusters

the lights in the instrument cluster all run on the same fuse.

If you have the owner's manual you should be able to find out what you need by
going to the index, in the back of the manual, and looking under fuses.

If no manual is available you can locate the fuse box cover, in the cabin of the vehicle,
usually on the driver's side. When you take the cover off look at the back of the cover,
there is usually a diagram showing what fuses do what.
