My Maytag dryer LDE7304ACE will not turn off. It heats and dries but the auto dry dial never moves once it is set (I can't remember if it did move when the dryer worked correctly). It does not shut off when the clothes are dry. What part do I need to replace. Thank you!

Try cleaning the moisture sensor bars just inside the door and below the door, with isopropyl alcohol of course after unplugging the unit for fire safety, these 2 chrome colored bars detect the moisture in the clothes and when they are wet they slow or even completely stop the timer,as they dry they let the timer again move,if they get a film on them they will not operate the timer correctly, they work on capacitance

Comercial maytag dryer will not shut off. tried replacing timer. heats up but will not shut offf

Hello,

When a dryer heats but the timer does not advance especially on the auto. dry setting (not timed dry) the problem is usually always a airflow problem. What needs to be checked is for lint build up in the blower housing, a blocked or restricted. Also on Maytag dryers a problem sometimes is that the blower wheel drive hub where it connects to the motor is stripped so the blower wheel cant move air, typically if that is the case a rumbling will be heard when dryer starts and once again when the dryer stops a rumblimng noise will be heard.

Estate TGDS680EQ3 gas dryer blows cold

The timer is stripped inside and needs to be replaced. The cogged teeth are made of plastic and a tooth or two has broken off keeping the timer from moving while running

My dryer is taking to long to dry clothes and the setting dial moves very slowly if at all.

Make sure the exhaust vent is free and clear. Lint build-up can cause it to take longer to dry clothes. Also, try putting the timer on another setting to see if it makes a difference. If you are using "Auto", try putting the setting on a manual time setting to see if that helps. You may have a bad timer or bad moisture sensors.

Amana Gas CLothes Dryer Mod#NDG7800AWW dryer will heat and does dry some but when it moves to the less dry the dial does not move and the dryer does not heat

if your clothes are damp because you say it does dry some what then it sounds like it could be the gas coils, the coils will work for awhile but then they fail and the timer will not move if there is no heat on the more or less

Gas dryer not maintaining heat. 70 Series Kenmore/Whirlpool 76722

Fuse is ok . Problem is the soils on the burner valve . If the dryer heats when started , the electricity goes thru the coils to open the valve . Once the coils get warm , 1 will open (short) until it cools back down . The coils can be replaced just by removing the front panel . Only 2 screws hold the coils in place . No turning off gas , dissasembling dryer .

Dryer Timer dial will not move but dryer works

Will the dryer move forward in timed dry? if it does not then you need a new timer. If if will advance in timed dry but does not advance in auto mode then the high limit needs to be replaced on the heater.

Mytag Dryer ModelLdg4000Aw

I have a Maytag Atlantis Gas Dryer that will turn on, rotate, but will not get hot and dry the clothes. A load of clothes in the afternoon, didn’t dry, tried again but didn’t dry – went to bed after putting on auto dry - next morning the dryer was still rotating and didn’t turn off. No hot air – only cold air.
