I have a frigidaire Dryer (4 years) model #AGQ7000ES1. The machine turns on but it won't heat. I ran all the diagnostic tests that the manual outlines and the test came up OK. No malfunctions. All air ways are OK, no lint. There were no apparent problems before this. The only thing I did 30 minutes prior to "NO HEAT" was reattach the hot air vent. It was not completely atached. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Jim

There are two 110 volt supplies to an electic dryer. One supply will supply all operations of the dryer save half of the heater ckt. The heater requires both 110 supplys for heater operation. Check if one of your two 110 dryer breakers in your house is "tripped" to off. If it works when you trip it back on good, if it only works temporarily then trips again, suspect a bad heater element drawing too many amps. Another possiblity is a weak breaker in the house breaker box, but usually if you get a reoccuring breaker trip its the dryer heater element pulling too many amps. Hope this helps.

Frigidaire dryer heating up but not completing cycle.

Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it)

Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective or has a short if its grounding out? Which in turns causes blown fuses or thermostats or overheating.

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220,

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Frigidaire dryer not heating

You may have an igniter issue, thermostat, or a gas valve coil issue. Make sure a heat selection is made also.

Frigidare AEQ600es2 does not heat. Reports error code E68, but all buttons seem to work.

You will nee The error code E68 is a stuck button error code. I recommend checking each button to make sure it loose in the plastic console. The button should rock side to side a little bit. If all the buttons are loose you can try to reset the unit control by unplugging the dryer for two minutes. If the error code comes back you will need to replace the unit control.

My Frigidaire Dryer (AEQ6000ES2) won't heat. Did

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.
