There is a possibility that there is a dirt build up under your keyboard, you may want to clean it, just follow the steps below.

Laptop keyboard not typing letters Z X S W 2 they worked just fine the other day and now they will not work and my comuter is still under warranty because i just bouth it back in OCT.2013

If the keys are hard to push you could have something under them, try vacuuming the keyboard. If they move freely, but you need to "mash" them you likely have a bad keyboard with the keys you mention as keyboards use a row and column method to detect key presses, and the keys you mention are often on the same column.

I have an ex100 keyboard, and it doesn't have an insert key, so I am overwriting by mistake. How do I fix this?

look just after the F12 key, there should be an insert key on that model keyboard, may be hard to spot or in a different colour writing.
If you still cant find it, use the on screen keyboard's insert key

1. Click on Start and click on "Run"

2. Type osk and click OK.

3. You will see the On Screen Keyboard (OSK)

Some key are sticking cant type that good as normal, key are sometime hard to push , blow it ot with that stuff in a can

If they are still sticking after blowing the keyboard out you may have spill some form of liquid on it that is causing your problems.

If you are pretty adept you could carefully remove all the key caps and clean it out a little better.

If not you may want to consider taking it to a local repair shop.

Again if you are confident enough then laptop keyboards are not that expensive to replace (probably cheaper than a repair) It is usually a pretty simple task that would take anyone with some common sense about 15 -30 minutes to do.

In the mean time you could always buy a cheap USB or PS2 keyboard and use that (check which type you need)

How do I get a "CAPS LOCK" indicator or light to appear?

Most keyboards now a days usually tell you on screen whether or not the caps lock is on but its possiblbe that when you press the key yowards the left or right hand side a light goes on or possibly in the top center if this is not the case then you may have a faulty keyboard.

Insert or over-type feature

I have the Microsoft Comfort Keyboard and it has a "F lock" key. This key has to be set on "Off" to let it know that I want to use the Print Screen function versus the Insert function on the same key. May be your keyboard is the same way.
