hi Hazel, this can be one of two things ,,,, 1. the controller has gone faulty
2. it's a loose connection to the controller...normally the long block, however if anyone decides to look at it for you please make sure the battery pack has been remove, I don't recommend this however that's your decision,...
an aftamarket part can do this--but chec all grounds and wiring again-is the battery at 12.6volts-any less is a factor--seek a maintenance manual online or somethin similar at ur library
