Question about HP Compaq Business NX9110 Notebook
I have replaced my motherboard in a HP compaq nx9110, the laptop switchs on but no light shows for the hard drive and nothing appears on the screen, previously the hard drive worked perfectly.
I was thinking that maybe i should reset the bios by removing the battery, but i am a bit worried about removing it as it seems to be attached by very thin wires.
Does anyone have any tips on how i can do this safely, with distroying anything, or any ideas on what else may be causing my hard drive to not be recognised?
Hi there , if the main battery is removed the cmos battery will go flat , if its a small pcb mounted 1 you can short the contacts for a short time , if the cdrom is working it mains the 5volt supply is ok and you should be able to hear the hard drive spin up unless there is damage to the pins on the hdd or the adaptor or hdd is mounted wrong .
