Question about Black & Decker Steam Xpress AS250 Iron with Auto Shut-off
Hey folks. This iron worked great until one day when I left it on too long. The auto-off function turned the iron off. Now it won't get hot anymore. The status light is ON when I plug it in, so I know t is getting electricity. Could the auto-off have gotten somehow stuck?? Thanks for the help!!
Just open your flat iron and locate the face plate contactor that has a soot burn causing the filament not to heat,use a sand paper to clean the contact from soot burnt,this the common problem of a flat iron...
Hope this may help;

If you start ironing with it, does it come back on? It usually doesn't take long for auto-shut-off irons to turn themselves off--a few minutes in the upright postion, and about 30 seconds if left sitting in the down position. Once you start the ironing motion, it should come back on.
