Both machines uses the same dimension paper ( 8.5 * 11 Z fold paper ). You can use the paper in GE MAC 1200 EKG machine.

1.Press the setup Button
2.Select operating mode and press enter.
3. Repatedly perss the down arrow until it reaches to the "START AT QUEUE MARK" and perss enter. Then select NO and press enter ( if it is selected Yes then before each recording the recorder advance the paper to the beginning of the next page)
4. Press the Start button to exit the setup.
From the next EKG it will print from the first page.

it doesn't uses any ink. printout is given by a thermal printer on wax or chemical paper. if print out is not coming ,then there may be possibility of the thermal printer head become damaged.
also check the battery .

most likely wrong paper or a bad optical sensor. There are actually 2 or 3 different versions of the mac 1200 all of which might need different paper. if you tell me the serial umber of your unit and the part number for the paper you are using I can tell you what is the correct paper.

Is the paper correct for the machine (look at old ECG's & check paper sensor black mark is in same place) also check paper is not in wrong way round or upside down?

try a new pad of paper if that didnt work then you need a new print head..

the date is changing because the internal battery which is about the size of a quarter has gone bad. if you are handy with a screwdriver and a soldering iron you can do it your self or you can sen it to a repair company and will cost about $150. It is printing out the extra sheet of paper because you are using the wrong paper. you can contact GE for the right paper for your serial number or you can contact our company. 8009894909, ask for jeff

You are using the worng paper. Cross refrence the paper you are using with the correct number.
