Question about Lexmark X83 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer not commicating with PC

I have had this problem before and have always solved it. This time I can't. I have followed all instructions.....unplugging the cable and plugging it back in and rebooting the computer, etc.

I have the same problem. I know now that Lexmark X83 does not work if you have Windows Vista as your operating system (at least not yet...).

Keeping getting commication not available


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Im always getting an error msg.general error..Delete all print jobs and turn the printer off. Remove any foreign objects from inside the printer. After a few minutes, turn the printer back on....can you...


Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

My epson t13 printer has stopped printing, while on process printing, even it have a lot of ink? what is behind of this problem?

Richo Aficio g7500 printer error 950. Replaced new ink woill not recognize the new full cartridge???


HI there try this.
1. try to reset the printer & clean the printer head by some alcohol and the see what happend. If not solve then follow the step 2.
2. Uninstall the printer driver and restart the PC . Now again install the printer driver and try. I hope this time your problem will solve.

Ink pad full


Try to follow this steps:
1. Long press the power button for 10 seconds.
2. While pressing the power button disconnect the power cord at the back of your printer.
3. Turned it On again then try to print.
If it can print, Every time you print just always perform that solution because your printer are meet the maximum number of copies to be print that's why the problem are back. You can also downlaod the reseter program of that printer to permanently solve that problem.

if still the issue is not solved then follow the below steps to reset the printer
without turning the printer off remove the power cable from the back of the printer
wait 20-30 second and plug the power cable into the back of the printer
if the printer is not already on use the on button to turn on

My printer will not commicate with my computer


I had the same problem with my X5410. I had to uninstall the Lexmark software. Then I turned ON the Windows Firewall.
I then re-installed the Lexmark. Only took about 6 hours
to figure it out !!!

Does not print


There is problem with your printer head socket, service the printer if problem is solve then ok otherwise change the head socket.
