Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Xbox 360 My xbox 360 always had a problem with it opening but a couple of taps on the trey it would open.. I have a 2 year old that sometimes opens it and pushes it back in by hand and now it won't open at all. I read about the rubberband that is in there and used a paperclip to get it open but the rubberband seems to be gone. Could it have broke off? When I put a game in there now it just keeps saying opening but it doesn't do anything and won't open.. Can this be fixed?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Xbox trey put in disk says readin then just says open trey

Open tray is a laser fault normally starts by the console struggling to read discs.

You can have this repaired for you by places such as Xbox-Reviver or LTrepairs i wouldnt recomend changing a laser yourself as they are very delicate and it's not an easy diy repair.

Will not read disc on xbox 360

If you hear the disk spin up then
slows down and get
an Open Trey mesage ,it's
probley a weak laser , which
isn't to hard to repair yourself.

or the drive motor is weak. Then you will
have to replace the whole drive
and swap the P.C board from
the old drive to the new one.
Cost about 20.00 -30.00 for the laser
and 40.00- 60.00 for the drive
