Apparently, you have no power at the 12 volt battery/memory wire at the radio harness of the vehicle. This wire is white with blue in color. Also, based upon your description, you have connected the battery/memory wire and the accessory wire of the radio to the 12 volt accessory (switched) wire of the vehicle. This wire is white with red in color. Check the radio/ stereo fuse of the car. You may have blown the fuse during your installation. You have no memory at the radio because when you turn off the key, you lose all power to the radio. Also, I mentioned the wire colors just in case you used an aftermarket radio wiring harness. Make sure that the yellow from the Pioneer unit is going to the battery power source and, the red of the Pioneer is going to the switched power source.
Turn the stereo off with the button in the top left corner. Hold the button down until the stereo is turned off.
Then push the function button on the remote control and you will see clock settings.
the memorey wire is yellow. what i did i took another piece of wire. hooked them together an run to my fuse box. find something that stays on, without having to turn the key. tie the wire on one side of the fuse put it back in. turn the key on set one station turn off. wait bout 20seconds turn back on. if it dont work the first time keep trning different fuses till you get it.
did you wire the radio yourself? it sounds like you have the yellow wire connected to a switched power source. the yellow wire needs to go to a power source which is always hot, or constant, whether the key is on or not.
hi mate,
the cd player consists of 3 types of wires, 1 for negative, 1 for memory- the yellowcolor wire, 1 positive-the red color wire. you must connect the memory wire(yellow) directly to the car battery so that the battery constantly feeds electric current to the player to store your bookmarks or whatever you program it. the red wire must be connected to the ignition barrel( which means your key starter). the negative(black) must be connected to the negative terminal of battery.
