Try a System Restore.
You can do this in safe mode.
Click Start> right click My Computer, from the dropdown menu select Properties. In the new window that opens select System Restore from the top tab on the left, now follow thye wizard to restore you machine to a date and time before this problem started. If you can see one in the list of dates available select a System Checkpoint.

You will need your original installation disk or a disk that matches your COA sticker on your machine NOT a recovery disk.

Using an original Windows installation disk you can do a repair/install without loosing any of your personal files, after the repair you will have to reupdate all your updateable programs like Windows and Antivirus software.

Follow the instructions on this site to the letter:

When you boot into safe mode, click Start and type in the search box MSCONFIG. When you see MSCONFIG right click it and select run as administrator. Once MSCONFIG has opened, click the boot tab -> boot options and uncheck safe boot and finally click apply/ok.

Dell demention 3000 stuck in safe mode changed with new battery reconnected all connections holding on the on buttons for 10 seconds but nothing works can anyone help.

If it stuck in safe mode, then it may be a software issue. Re-install the operating system because the fact that you were able to access safe mode means that it is just a software issue.

How do you put windows into safe mode?

Power on or Restart your computer, keep tapping F8 on the keyboard while it boots up. After few seconds, you'll be taken to the "Advanced Boot Options" with "Safe Mode" in the lists. Use the Up-Down arrow keys to highlight the "Safe Mode" and press enter on the keyboard to confirm the selected boot options. Black Screen with white texts will be displayed on the display, wait for few seconds until you see the windows logon Screen. You'll also see a confirmation message box asking you to confirm to boot into Safe Mode, click "yes" or "Ok" and proceed forward. There now you are in the Safe Mode.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.
