Toshiba 32c100u dead; power supply board replaced but still nothing

Have you checked whether mains power reaches the power board? Check it first. If yes, the power board you purchased newly should be checked.

Hi, Mother board does not beep when starting. All hardware disconnected, (impossible to reach acer bios screen previously). Battery removed and replaced. Pb remains the same. Is there any solution...

You don't say you tried another power supply, and I'd suggest that. Then pronounce the motherboard dead and replace it if you still have the same trouble.

I need a new mother board my mother board was

The first thing when spilling drink on your electronics is to remove ALL power.

Then wash the circuits with DISTILLED, de-ioniozed water till all traces of the spillage is gone. Next driop dry with one corner down and finally let dry a few days.

The only damage the spillage usually can do is electrolysis from the power source. Circuit boards are washed with water during manufacturing. Use DE_IONIZED !!!

Laptop keyboard not operational

If you replaced the keyboard with a Dell replacement 1501 keyboard and it still doesn’t work then yes the motherboard will probably have to be replaced. If your son spilled water on the laptop it could clear up after it completely dries. If it was juice, soft drink or sport drink the laptop could develop other issues. The syrup in these kinds of drinks don’t evaporate, they just remain there and accumulate foreign particles like dust, hair, dirt and eventually start to corrode electrical contacts like acid. Similar to the terminal posts on a car battery.

Hp 530 laptop = dead no lights/nothing...power supply reads 19.2 volts with meter.son spilled drink on keyboard..suggestions?

Remove battery and power. Take apart as much as possible. wash any wet/sticky parts in de-ionised water (as used for topping up batteries), allow to thoroughly dry before re-assembling and powering up. Leave at least 24 hrs to dry.

Try not to get circuit board too wet, but if it does not work then you have nothing to lose!

Liquid on keyboard can be very difficult to fix as damp gets under the membrane - even if computer works the keyboard may not but you could always use USB keyboard.
If you have any Silica Gel packets, put notebook and all parts in a plastic bag with them to absorb all moisture (but make sure no powder gets into the components).

Good luck!

Your fuse will be on the main board just after the power cord inlet. Maybe in a small black box that the top opens on.

Hi Harold L

Yes it is most probably the fuse that has gone.

Take of the top cover of the Projector and look on the Main Powersupply Board ( the one with the AC inlet on it ) - you'll see a fuse on the board.

Change the fuse even if you cannot see any markings or discolouration on it.

Good luck and I hope this is of help.

If this doesn't work - just post another posting and I'll respond ASAP.

Thanks for using Fixya !
