Download the drivers from Fujitsu or it will never be correct. Once you have all required drivers, it should be fine, assuming Fujitsu support Win7 that is.

I would try windows 7 as it is the current operating system that seems to work very well for me.

Windows XP SP2 isn't supported by Microsoft, anymore.

i have the same problem too, i already installed my v3515 audio driver, but still doesn't work. i solved my problem the time that i change my Windows Xp installer. or from sp2 to sp3.. hope i help you....

see frnd it generally occurs when graphics display driver is not installed in urs computer.....
can u tell me ur computer configration..
then i tell u wat display driver u need to installl...

It sounds like Drivers for the Video card is not loaded properly.

What is the current screen resolution?
Are you able to increase the resolution to say 800 x 600 pixel or preferably 1024 x 768 pixel?

If the current screen resolution is 640 x 480 pixel and you are unable to increase resolution to the above pixel levels, try updating Windows Drivers for your video card.

Windows doesn't always recognize all devices, thats why laptop manufacturer's provide the driver with CD and also release on their support websites.
Model that you have usually comes with VIA Vinyl AC´97 So you can find it easily also its published support website of Fujitsu-Siemens.
