I have a J2GR-47L ColdTech glass door refridgerator and it is not cooling. Everything else runs fine. I am just wondering if it takes R-134a freon and how much it needs. Thanks

SOURCE: I am considering buying a 4 yr old Kitchenaid

You are buying a lemon, you've to have the leak repair and it depends where the leak located. No it is not easily fixed. Only to the one who is in the refrigeration trade because he have all the time in the world to locate the leak, vaccumn the unit and check anymore leaking . That take times and time is what you have to pay for.
To me I'll leave it alone.

I have a 1996 grand marquis that the air does not work in it.put can of frean in it

If in fact it does take Freon, it can be an expensive recharge because this nation requires an ASE Certification to even tough Freon. Yes, that is federal law in all 50 states. You can find out by finding an auto manual on your car to determine whether it takes 134A Refridgerant or Freon. Good luck...:)

I have a 1990 Buick Le Sabre and it hasn't been run much in the last 15 years. We have ran it several thousand miles this past year and was hoping to get the air conditioner working. I put on the new...

Your almost there with the refridgerent. What your experiencing is normal. What is happening is that it builds up pressure then turns on the commpressor, then looses the pressure, turn it off. A little more freon and it will start running normally. If you dont have a guage the best way to tell youhave enough freon is when the dryer (big aluminium canister) starts sweating.

A/C will not blow cool air. 2001 Ford Escort ZX2

You can buy a recharge kit for like $30 with the gauge, follow directions. See if it helps most likely you have a leak that's a given but even a very very small leak take time to leak. So for $30 try it if it lasts fine sometimes its just an O- ring or the Schrader valve leaking (the valve you put the freon in thru) check for any oily areas yup that's the AC oil it will tell you sometimes you can't find with ***** eye use special glasses to see, you can find them at the parts store with dye in the 134a it stands out.
Hope I helped

What recharge A/C refrigerant is used for a 1999 Chevy S10 pickup

On a 1999 s-10, your correct refridgerant is r-134a. I don't understand why wisconsin won't allow you to purchase r-134a at a auto parts store. R-12 is the refridgerant that has been banned in the US, and requires ASE air conditioning certification to purchase. I've never heard of any law anywhere prohibiting the purchase of r-134a.

Anyway, your system is a r-134a system.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.
