Faulty blackberry 8700g

My BB 8700g won't charge and won't connect to my laptop.
When I plug in the USB cable the light flashes green for a couple of seconds and then goes off and Desktop Manager says Device Not Found when I try to detect the BB.

My blackberry went dead and it switched off so i came home and put it on charge it always comes on then but now it didnt the screen is just black and there is a red light what should i do i really need it...

Hello

Try a battery pull. Take the battery while its still on out for a few seconds, then put it back in.

If this does not work then

1. Unplug BB from PC.

2. Launch the Application Loader like you were going to install something.

3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.

This should solve the problem

My blackberry 8700g does not charge

Have you tried both the USB and AV charger - The AV charger has the slide AV - which may be loose. I have never had a problem with USB connection.

If neither of this is working then it is most likely a problem with he battery? I have seen the curved battery warped and also non genuine - If these are the ones you have then I suggest a new battery.

Hope this helps.

8700g BB keeps turning on a off without starting correctly

This is called the hourglass of death...You need to reload the apps, but Desktop manager wont let you... You need to trick it into a connection

First make sure the BB is unplugged, then go to Program Files > Common Files >Research In Motion > AppLoader and run loader.exe. Click next, it will say port : COM PORT 1 now is the tricky part you have to plug in the BB and COM 1 will change to PIN: UNKOWN , when this happens you have to quickly click next before it reboots again, then it will ask for pin and now has an connection with the device so you can go ahead and re load all the apps.

My blackberry is not receiving any email messages

Sounds like your wife possibly removed your back up file for the BB.

Check your USB cable (i have gone through 2 recently - some fail) or If you have bluetooth enabled devices, try connecting that way.

Sorry I could not be of more help. :)

Pull battery and connect to usb cable to computer, make sure you have BB desktop manager and lastest sw downloaded, run application loader without battery, once the application loader starts insert battery, application loader will prompt you to backup and restore, make sure you allow the backup and restore.
