Bosch Evolution 500 SHE45M05UC Stainless Steel Dishwasher Logo

Judging from the information on this forum and others, we think we need to replace the control module on our Bosch dishwasher (she45m05uc/50). The general consensus seems to be that the module has an underrated relay and will burn out again. Has the board been redesigned? Is there a newer board that would work in our model? Bosch says that only part number 676962 will work. Thanks for your help, Deb

SOURCE: Access to Bosch dishwasher pump

To access the pump, first bail and sponge out any water in the machine's tub. Then tip the machine over on its front, using a heavy blanket or pad to protect the dishwasher's finish. Remove the back service panel. The pump is usually located along the bottom. Good luck!

If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:

Water-heating cycle
Timer
Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Replaced the control board in Bosch Dish Washer SHE44C and the cycle times are reversed???

I think this board requires coding to your particular model?? your dishwasher has four selection button and a delay start, whereas the module has five selections and delay as it is used in several different modesl. The coding info should have been in the box with the part and may need to be carried out directly on the module with the fascia panel removed. If you post the part number of the module I will see if I can get you the coding information..

It doesn't empty the water out of the bottom. It makes a humming sound.

Hello- The water is pumped out by a separate drain motor. If it's humming, it is either stuck or worn out. Part is about 70$. Bosch techs are hard to come by, so ask around. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. Thanks- ED

Bosch dishwasher will not cycle. Water in base

First...make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!
