Yup, you need to do exaclty that, possibly a mainbpard problem. the free phone number is on xbox.com, they will arrange to pick the console up and repair it. All 360 consoles have a 3yr warranty, will take about 2-3 weeks to repair and get it back to you.

My xbox 360 had one red light flashing and my av jacks did not work so i put the old casing back on and now has 3 red lights

The red flashing lights are a sign of a fault with your console.
firstly if you get the 3 red lights then microsoft reapair your console for free so long as you purchased it no more than 3 years before you send it back for repair. The 3 red lights are a sign of overheating
the 360 motherboard is able to flex a little, when the 360 was turned off and cooled down these solder balls solidified again, however they solidified in the wrong place or in two halfs etc. and so the 360 shows the 3 red lights to indicate this fault.

When I turned on my system, it had system error contact xbox customer support. There is a red light flashing on the bottom right, around the power button. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Some of us suddenly when we turn on our Xbox 360 console one day we got one red light flashes on the ROL (Ring of Light) around the Xbox 360 power button, and we got an Error message appearing on the TV screen "System error" also might occur with any error code like E66, E67, E68, E71, E74 or E77, all the same.

When you get any of these messages appearing on your screen with one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.

So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.

If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.

The Xbox 360 console might even keep giving you the same error code even after you remove the hard drive so it will then appear to be a fault with your Xbox 360 console not the hard drive & also in a case like this we need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the console.

Call the company and get an online tech. I had to send mine back...  It took a week to receive a box from the company and about 6 weeks to get it back. I forgot about it! It takes a while, but works well!

Red Light on Plug in connecter thing

Sounds like there is something wrong with the Xbox 360 power supply, try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet also unplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord. Give it a minute then reconnect it all back, also try it on another wall outlet without any extension cord at all.

If it's still red that suggests fault with your Xbox 360 power supply so will need to contact Xbox 360 customer support if its under warranty they should be able to sort it out for you. If out of warranty it might cost you for a new power supply!

2 red lights

This problem may occur when the Xbox console is too hot or is overheating. The flashing lights mean that the internal temperature of your Xbox 360 console has exceeded acceptable temperature limits. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your Xbox 360 console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot.Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. If the two lights continue to flash red after you try steps 1 and 2, contact Xbox Customer Support.

Microsoft can be contacted by finding the number listed on the back of your video game booklets.

Good Luck to you and Happy Gaming.
