Either the level probe does is not functioning properly, or the solenoid for the autofill valve is not working or the Cpu board relay is not telling the auto fill solenoid to turn off or the valve seats in the inlet valve are damaged.

Hobart Ecomax 652. There was a voltage jump after switching on, the water did not collect, there were no errors. I replaced the inlet valve, it did not help. then the message BOF. Help please

The BOF message on a Hobart Ecomax 652 dishwasher indicates a "boiler filling" issue, which means the dishwasher is unable to fill the boiler with water. Here are some things you can try:
  1. Check the water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and there is enough water pressure. If there is low water pressure, it may cause the BOF message.
  2. Check the water inlet valve: If the water inlet valve is not functioning properly, the dishwasher may not be able to fill the boiler with water. Make sure that the inlet valve is not clogged and is getting power.
  3. Check the level probe: The level probe detects the water level in the dishwasher. If it is not working properly, the dishwasher may not be able to fill the boiler with water. Check the probe to ensure it is clean and in good condition.
  4. Check the boiler: The BOF message may also indicate a problem with the boiler itself. Check the boiler to see if there is any damage or blockage.
If these steps do not solve the issue, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Waterpump makes a lot of noise

It is possible that the water coming into the pump from the mains is obstructed. If you have a water filter, that might need to be replaced. Some of the pumps have a stone filter on them, you will see a huge nut on the inlet side of the pump, that might need to be cleaned. Also check all water lines make sure you have no kinks. Pay attention to the gauge on the machine when the noise is happening if the water dispensing pressure lever should be at about between 3-6 bar when not being used and about 9 when brewing espresso.

Sir, LA CIMBALI 39 DOASTAROM 3 GROUP MACHINE MOTHER BOARD BROKEN Sir, We try to install the new mother board, most of the things are working, the boiler is heating up, but when we turned on the...

hi. Im not sure excactly what is going on with your explaination about your machine, but I gather the the original mother board has died, and you have replaced it with a new one. It sounds like you have a water fill issue with your machine. If the boiler doesn't have enough water in it, then the pc board will shut the machine down. Ive never worked on a m39, but they are from the Faema corporation, and Faema/ La Cimbali electronics canbe very complicated. Dont now why they make such complicated electrics, cause there are hundreds of other brands with simple electrics.
If your boiler was empty, then the water fill cycle might be a timed cycle, and is shuting down before the water level has reached the water level probe inside the boiler. If this is the case, then once it has stopped, turn the machine off, wait 10sec, then turn it back on again and let it start the fill cycle over. You may have to repeat this a number of times until it has reached the water level probe inside the boiler. Some machines are designed to have a slow water fill, because when you draw hot water from the boiler for making tea, fresh cold water is pumped back into the boiler to replace what you have taken out, and if it fills too quick, then your steam pressure drops. So by filling slower, the machine will maintain its steam pressure. Good idea in theroy, but its only good for cafes that do 300 coffees per hour.
Im hoping that your machine is configered this way, cause it will probably just have to be turned on a few times until it has reached the water level probe as I explined in the begining. If you have a sight glass, you can check to see how high your water level is. If your level is correct, and its still not working right, then id recomend calling a repairer. There are number of things that could be wrong, causing your board to die. Faulty solenoids. switches, touch pads, pressure switches can cause main board issues. Hope all this helps with getting your machine working properly. Dazza Repairer

Combi boiler will not fire up on heating or hot water. pressure gauge reads approx 2.1 bar red light lit on panel

Hello
The water pressure should be 15 to 12 psi.If your at 2.1 there is a problem with your auto fill valve.

Which means the boiler is shut down on low water.

The auto fill valve is connected to your incoming cold water from the home, shut it off and check the screen inside for dirt or rust, you may need to have another one installed.

Loss of pressure in boiler, no obvious leaks, water pressure switch changed plus pressure release valve

Check that your make up water is on.

Make sure your fill valve is working but it sounds like it is not. Your min pressure should be 15 psig. on the boiler. Fill valve will maintain a15 psig on the boiler. Water and pressure does get out of the boiler when radiators are bleed. When fill valve is not working people will keep bleeding the radiators trying to get heat but only lowering the boiler pressure with no water make up.

Make sure your boiler is getting water and has pressure when running.

If it isn't...SHUT DOWN and have a professional look at it.

Pressure relief valve is factory set ta 30 psig and opens when pressure is above 30 psig. This is a safety valve.

My pressure is low on my halstead eden cbx24 boiler, i can find the loop to fill it up but dont know where to put the water in, can anyone help?

Do you have a sight glass that shows water level in boiler on this loop? If so is it marked where normal water level is supposed to be? There should be a water line connected to boiler with a valve on it. This will be a manually operated valve unless it has auto fill control. Locate this valve and slowly add water until level in sight glass is back where it should be,then shut valve. While you are doing this the boiler should be at operating temperature because hot water expands and you don't want to overfill. There should be a temperature and pressure relief valve on top of your boiler to prevent unsafe conditions but I wouldn't count on it working properly if it is very old. My main concern is for your safety so if you are unsure of something don't do it. If your boiler has a automatic water make-up on it then you need to have a service tech. find out if it's not working, and repair or replace it. I hope this helps you. Thanks

I have an Amtrol 109 tank on my boiler mounted horizontally (all the literature shows the tank mounted vertically). Lately, the pressure on the boiler slowly bleeds off. I've been told the Amtrol tank may...

If you are losing boiler pressure, it is probably not the expansion tank. Most of the time when these go bad they fill with water and cause a increase in boiler pressure, especially when the boiler is running. If you put a tire gauge on the end of the tank it should read between 10 and 15 psi. If this is the case then the expansion tank is fine. If the tank is fine then you may have a leak somewhere in the system. The perculating that you refer to could also be from the boiler being under filled. Make sure all zones are purged of air and the boiler pressure reads around 12 psi on the gauge. Hope this helps

I'm a new plumber. I was asked to restart a burnham gas fired steam boiler in a fire damaged apartment. The boiler was drained last winter along with the radiators but was not winerized. I am their plumber...

1. You need to fill the entire system with water before you fire it, boiler AND radiators... Then, you would normally vent as much of the trapped air in the system as you could... It's not like you are only going to fill just the boiler and then pump that water through the pipes.

There is a temp setting on the boiler, but I don't think that's a solution. Remember that the water in the system is going to begin circulating as soon as you start the boiler. So, it will start circulating when it's cold, and then gradually warm up.

Your problem is not the sudden rush of hot water, it's going to be filling the system in the first place, and getting the boiler started before the system freezes up ...

I don't really have any suggestions for you though, other than perhaps renting one of those construction heaters ... and bring the building temp up a bit. But there's certain dangers associated with them too... Carbon Monoxide for one, fire is another (if used improperly).

Just thought of something: Fill the system with glycol based anti-freeze solution that's designed for heating systems. That oughta do it...

I'm guessing there's not a functioning water heater either at this point, is there ? If there was, you could possibly rig something up to fill the system with lukewarm water, and fire it before it freezes up.

2. You don't have a lot of choice. You have to fill the system, fire the boiler & wait.
It is going to take a long time to get the system up to temperature. Instant circulation is a double edged sword. The upside is you get a little bit of heat into the water & have it moving making freezing less likely. The downside is, it's hard on the boiler with that much cold water coming back you are likely to have condensation.

I have a ideal mini c24 cobi boiler and it isnt holding pressure the are no leaks inside the house it just seems to be releasing the water for the central heating from the blow off pipe outside so i keep...

So the boiler relief valve is leaking? What is the boiler pressure when the relief valve leaks? The relief valve will have a pressure rating on it. If the relief valve leaks when the pressure in the boiler is lower than the relief valve setting then its just a bad relief valve. If the relief valve is leaking when the boiler pressure gets above the relief valve pressure setting then the relief valve is doing its job and there is another problem. Several things can cause the boilers pressure to go higher than the relief valves setting. It could be a bad expansion tank or one that needs to be drained and re-charged. It could be a bad cold water fill valve that isn't shutting off and is over filling the system, rasing the pressure above the relief valve setting. If this boiler also does your domestic hot water, I have seen where the domestic hot waters heat exchanger has a hole in it and the domestic hot water is mixing with the boilers water and over pressuring the boiler.
