This washer has a belt. The belt drives the pump on this washer. The motor turns in both directions. iIn one direction the washer tub is locked and the tranny agitates. The water pumps out and the tub spins in the other direction. If that pump is locked up or the hose from tub to pump is blocked then it wont pump the water out. Lay the drain hose down towards a bucket and see if any water comes out. If not you got blockage. Once you drain it out tip is back and remove the belt (no tools needed) turn the pump both directions and look for signs of a failed pump. Manual and more
Fyi. All new washing maching already tested on their functionality and features but not test run with water intake and drain function. I would like to share My experience last time with this model. The water outlet valve will release by motor when you set to drain mode.it suppose manage to retract back by spring when drain process finish or afte small you change to wash mode. Take a look on the spring movement.normally it not properly hold valve switch hence the retracted spring not block the valve to stop water drain. Just rectify the alignment of the valve swich which directly connected to the retractable spring.
check your drain filter, get a wet vac and vacuum the water out, then open the drain plug at bottom and try to vacuum the drain to clear out debris......then turn on and test washer if it fills and drains if it fills with water and doesn't drain then your drain pump is defective........get your model number and source for a pump motor.................................
if it doesn't fill with water then your water fill switch is defective...............source for parts..............
if this helps out anyone a feed back would be good..........
This is most likely due to having the height of the drain hose too low in the drain pipe so the water siphons out as the machine tries to fill up. This will eventually lead to an F20 error displaying saying that the machine was not able to fill with enough water in the 6 minutes allowed by the on board controller in the Whirlpool. The solution is to measure the height of the top of the arch of the drain hose or direct connecting point to a drain and make sure that his is at least 32 inches and no mort than 36 inches from the floor.
Hi. your timer assembly is faulty. it is not initiating the spin and proper wash cycle due to this malfunction. the timer is responsible for the actions and commands. if its defective, it will not carry out the initiations correctly.
Hi. The above machine stops mid cycle and drain/fill light is on, also
error code F3E, have cleaned both hot and cold water inlet filters, also
checked drain pump and drain line, all ok. Machine drains with no
issues and fills with hot water, runs for a while then shuts down.
Any ideas?
HI there. You drain out pipe need to have a kink and the kink need to be higher than the highest point of when the machine is filled with water or else gravity will let the water drain out as you fill it up. HOpe it works.
ON THIS MACHINE WHEN IT AGGITATES MOTOR ROTATES ONE DIRECTION, WHEN IT PUMPS OUT AND SPINS IT ROTATES THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. YOUR MACHINE IS ROTATING THE WRONG DIRECTION WHEN IT FILLS., INDICATING THAT THE TIMER IS SENDING VOLTAGE TO WRONG WIRES. SOLUTION , REPLACE TIMER.
PS: MAKE SURE ALL WIRES ARE PLUGGED IN TO MOTOR. WHILE THIS IS UNLIKELY , I HAVE SEEN THIS BE THE PROBLEM.
