JVC GR-D50 digital video camera problems..... (by 2 users)

14 mths, so just out by a couple on months.  I'll see if they'll honour
it anyway - goodwill etc (JB Hi-Fi).  Thing is I rarely used it -
probably a couple of hrs a month.

Hi I had the same problem with mine and when I spoke to a JVC service agent in Adelaide, they advised that it was a manufacturing fault and they repaired it no questions asked. I think they said is was to do with a faulty CCD?

No, the viewfinder doesn't work either.

It sounds like the CCD (the image detector behind the lens) is broken,
or else some of the CCD's supporting circuitry. Does the other
viewfinder (the one with an eyepiece - if your camera isn't a Sharp)
work?

I'd say you need to either take it to a service center or buy a new
one.
