Question about Gaggenau VK 230 Rice Cooker

Gaggenau vk230 steamer doesn't work

I have taken this steamer back to gaggenau about 5 times and they say it works. Each time they bring it back to my place and install it it works first time but when they leave and I want to start it up the boiler just doesn't kick in. The other day my wife brushed against the temperature knob and it worked but hasn't since. This is a really weird problem that I can't figure out. Please help it's been a year now I have had this very expensive steamer that I can't use.

Are you sure the child lock feature is not preventing it from working? Exactly what is the problem? Is the display blank? Is the problem that it just won't heat? Are there any error codes in the display?

I also have a VK230 that is having problems and am gaining experience with troubleshooting this steamer. Gaggenau is very difficult to work with and it is difficult to find a service company that is knowledgeable about the brand.

My pressure cooker does not work. I've used maybe 4 - 5 times. I've tried different outlets, it still will not work!

You have to clean the sensors and with clean water and after that with a clean cloth. It looks like an electrical pressure cooker and may be some problem with pressure sensors.

I am having the same problem. Here is what the Tiger people say. I haven't tried it yet though.

When my sis wanted to use the rice cooker,a "f2" sign appeared.

I opened the cooker and removed the battery and put it back, it worked. Beware that the battery is glued to the circuit board and has to be taken out carefully. Guess removing the battery made the machine forget its previous state and is now back to cooking.

Sunbeam 4710 steamer

The most likely reason they don't fit together perfectly right is because, when I bought the Sunbeam Instant Steamer Model 4710, it only came with 1 steaming tray.

Steamer keeps shutting off.

I have the same issue, but if I use cold water (15 C, 60 F), the steamer works. Hope this help.
