Unless the same type is found the fuse cannot be fixed into the holder. So it isbest to get this sample to the nearest electronic store and check out th ereplacement type availabe and if the alternative fits the provision.
Othere wise you can solder a fuse wire of the same rating internally to get the set connected.

B) go to your nearest hotel and claim to have lost your charger. it is the most left behind thing at hotels and the chances are that they have at least one compatible charger in the lost and found.

You can fix it. Take the broken tube off, using an adjustable wrench. Take the tube to your nearest hardware, so you can have the right replacement size.Using the old broken tube as sample, you can copy it with the tube you just bought from the hardware. Don't forget to place the fittings to the tube

It just states that "the charger can be used with a power supply between
100 and 240V AC. Contact your nearest Canon service
center for information about plug adapters for overseas
use.
• To prevent equipment breakdowns and excessive
heating, do not connect this charger to voltage
converters used by travelers, or special power sources"

I think it should be safe for use in Scotland with a plug adapter (not converter).
