Check the relay for that motor. Follow the wires back to locate the relay. If the relay clicks when you advance the thermostat then check the relay contacts with a multimeter. If there is continuity and a low resistance value on the contacts then look at the motor itself. There is a hi limit safety klixon switch that may be holding voltage from reaching the motor too. The wiring diagram should be on or inside an access panel.
Your outside unit has a processor with an LED that also blink the error code. Check the ledger on the access panel, instruction sheet or on processor for explanation of the code
by going to emergency heat you have shut off your heat pump and turned on a back up source, either gas or electric, if its cold out,35or less ,just leve your emergency heat on till it warms up a bit
Hello You have only 5 wires? multi stage if so ,is run by something else.Check that RH/RC is jumped out on new stat. Also check that O is not on the B terminal. If there is an A/B select switch set it to O.Emergency heat button dont matter as there is no wire to run it with only 5 wires.
Actually yes! You can install electric elements in the plenum that turn on by your thermostat. The convection blower from the furnace can be used. You can also install a heat pump system that will give you both heat and air conditioning.
