Most laptop (especially branded ones) do offer drivers and other support at their web sites. (example: www.dell.com). You may want to try it there first

Boot from the OS install CD. Insert the CD and reboot holding the C key. Under the Utilities menu open up "reset password". You can reset passwords there.

I need to reboot windows xp on my toshiba satellite laptop

The Toshiba Satellite A10-S169 includes several utilities to improve the performance or security of the computer, and to reconfigure the system's settings. Toshiba Satellites running Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows XP come with the Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility, which allows you to create a recovery CD of your system and applications. The recovery CD will allow you to restore your system and its settings in case your hard drive fails.

Click "Start." Click "All Programs." Expand "Hard Disk Recovery Utilities." Click "Recovery Disc Creator." Select "CD" as the type. Check "Recovery and Applications." Insert a CD into the disc drive. Click "Burn." The Toshiba A10-S169 will begin writing the recovery content to the CD. Follow the on-screen prompts to burn your recovery files to disc. Hope this helps.

Forgot windows 7 password how do I unlock it ?

I believe probably the easiest and safest way for you is remove your Windows OS Passwords with Windows Password Recovery tools. I found a good one at http://www.reset-windows-password.com last week, and then I downloaded it and used it to remove the lost password within only few minutes. Furthermore, the powerful tool didn't cause a little data lose. It's worth an attempt.

I losted my operation system, so I installed a windwon 7, now I want get my old opreation system back which is homevista, cani get it bac now?

When you first bought your PC or laptop, you would have been prompted by Windows Vista to create recovery discs, either CD or DVD. If you did this and still have the discs then you can simply put the recover disc into your DVD drive and re-boot the PC from the DVD drive (you may need to change the boot options in the BIOS or via a function key at boot-up).
If you did not create any recovery discs then there is a small possibility that there is a recovery partition on the hard drive. During boot-up, look at the text on the screen that tells you which button to press to get into the BIOS setup utility. There may be an option to start the recovery process, which would access the recovery partition.
If you have not got the recovery discs or a recovery partition then you will need a Windows Vista Home installation disc. The product key should be on a label on your PC or laptop.

Hi. I found your solution by googling my problem. It sounds like the right match. However I am a tech novice and I have no idea where my windows disk is. Silly question, but where can I get one? This...

Hello robyn496
The disc is normaly delivered with the purchase of the laptop . If you recently bought yours , you could ask the vendor for help .
Sometimes , it's also possible to get one at the unit manufacturer's site , it depends on the model .
Otherwise , you will probably need to buy an install disc to try a repair operation . If this still doesn't succeed , you will have to reinstall Windows but all your data will be lost .
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

Lost installation disc

Sounds like you're saying you lost your Windows install disk?

If that is the case you have a couple options possible...

1. Do you have the license key still? You can go online and LEGALLY download the same version of Windows you have a key for, you simply then burn that to disc and then when installing use your License key.

2. If you lost both the disc and the license key BUT you registered it with Microsoft before losing them then you may be able to contact Micrsoft for assistance in retrieving your key.

3. Otherwise you have to buy a new copy of windows.

How to use a recovery disc for presario cq 60 206us

Set your 1st boot to CD/DVD from your Bios Setting or use the hp Boot utility when you restart your computer.

Insert your Recovery disc into the CD/DVD Rom and reboot your computer. Just follow the installation wizard to install your system back to default/original settings. All of your data will be lost.

**Note
When you use the Recovery disc all the setings will be reverted back to the original settings. Back up or save your data before you use the Recovery disc.

Hope it helps.

What disc are you using?

Are you talking about Sonic 10 the game or the file utility?
