Washing machine -Springy/popping noise on wash cycle

My washing machine makes a springy-popping noise when it starts rotating on the wash cycle. It's often a few noises all in a row just as it starts rotating in a direction (rotates in both directions). When on spin cycle there is no noise.

At first I thought it was being overloaded but it seems to make the noise all the time now.

The conditioner is not being pumped through as normal on wash cycle? Is this a blockage that can be fixed easily? Cheers Steve.

Do the cheap things first. Remove the top and check the supply hoses for blockages or kinks. Get a length of springy plastic to thread down the hose to see if there is dried residue. When the top is off try a cycle that uses conditioner and see if it tries to empty the tray.

The start/pause button has been pushed in too far and I would like to know can I fix this???

that happened to my machine once, I gently wiggled it whilst very quickly giving it a springy type push and it popped out again. if that doesn't work, Make sure your hands are DRY and UNPLUG the machine from elec remove lid and reach inside and release the spring.

Spin cycle doesn't spin. During wash and rinse cycle the agitator does rotate back and forth.

You may have a broken interlock switch underneath the lid. Lift lid and somewhere on the right side is a hole. Under it there is a plastic arm, such that the machine won't spin if the lid is open. There should be a plastic 'finger' on the lid. check that out, Gently pushing a popsicle stick down the hole. Thwere should be springy resistance, or look down the hole with a flashlight and see if a plastic finger is across about the middleof the hole.

I hope this isn't too much info for you. Let me know.

Wash machine model mav 7600, started making tremendous noise, first in spin cycle only and then in wash cycle also. After running a few loads with the noise the machine just stoped running....

This sounds like collapsed/broken drum bearings. Check for movement between inner and outer drum. Also rotating the drum by hand will be hard (or immpossible), and noisy. It could be the motor and belt, but most times it is bearings.

Spin mode does not work

Dear "FixYa,"

I have fixed the problem with my washer.

I started clothes washing machine with one load of clothes.
Wash and rinse process completed, as it came to spin,
Machine stop, only I heard was running motor. I opened
machine and found coupler is cracked (broken) and was
unable to rotate the gear.

I replaced new coupler and machine started to work normal.

Thank you
