Question about Heating & Cooling
SOURCE: have a combi boiler and
Modern shower valves have an "anti scald device" in them to prevent scalding from to hot water.
They come preset at 120 degrees.
Sometimes they can start to malfunction and all you get is warm, not hot water, they can also be intermittent.
This will only effect the shower valve though, not the other faucets.

SOURCE: re: combi boiler.
if you have hot water at the taps but the heating isn't working make sure the thermostat is set high enough for the boiler to run check the time clock settings are on.
if these are working it could be a faulty diverter valve switch not sending a signal to the boiler to run.

hi mate if you are happy to open the appliance and not disturb any gas connections clean the rectification probe, cause if its a intermittent fault it could be carbon deposits on the probe also make shaw the lead from probe to pcb is connected and not damaged if all ok its the pcb, let me know

SOURCE: Britony 80 combi boiler G31
You gave a good description of the boiler--
now we need to hear the clues you have observed, as it fires (or fails to fire-- or what?)
Or as the water flow-- or doesn't flow?
As the cold water enters-- what does the flame do?
And does the flow rate reduce as the flow gets to the divert er valve?
How old is the boiler?-- and have we been using HARD water?
(Any water softener in the circuit to remove calcium and magnesium, etc.?)
Do you suspect a scaling problem in the interior parts?
If so-- can you circuit an acid thru the innards, to clean up the scale?
Please comment on what happens when water and gas flow-- so we can help you get to the next step.
