Press the menu and input/device buttons both in together on the front panel and hold in for 5 seconds to see if the Led will blink a two digit blink code. Then let me know what the code is., and I will help you with the problem.

I have a Emerson 42 inch LCD TV.. power comes on,and the screen lights up. But does not display any images. Not even when you push the menu or the input menu button

first of all make sure you are on the correct video stream.. (HDMI 1, HDMI2, etc) of Aux , Com.. or just plain ole Channel 3 or 4,, if all that fails it sounds like it might be your T-Con card. I had the same problem with TV I fixed for a friend and that was an easy fix. in fact he just gave me the TV after I fixed it. and it is still working.. I usually check with Shopjimmy.com for parts. if they don't have them in stock then I check with eBay,Amazon. or just Google the part number and find one there..

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. Also, complete repair kits with instructions and repair support are avail from site such as www.TvRepairKits.com

Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on. The power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

What you will need to do is convergence. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement parts, step by step instructions, support, etc.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.

Mitsubishi 50" Projection TV (Model VS-50603) Has sound but no picture

MJBNATL:

I reluctantly scheduled a technician to come out next week and take a look at my set. I was going to pay, at minimum, $65 for the service visit. I was then blessed with the intutition to do a bit more research regarding the PIP box being stuck on my television and other input functions (Inputs 1,2, and DVD) being unavailable.

I stumbled across a post on the internet that mentioned that the VS50603 can reset certain error conditions by pressing and holding the Input and Menu buttons (simulatneously) on the front panel on the TV while it is off. At some point after initiating this internal reset the LED light should starting flashing at defined intervals. The number of flashes correlate to a particular error code. Please go to the Mitsubishi website and download the owners manual (VS50609 in my case, couldn't locate VS50603) to lookup what the various error codes mean.

It seemed to me that that the LED flashing did not start immediately after pressing the Input and Menu buttons. In fact, I awoke the next morning to find the TV off but the LED flashing 10 times, pausing briefly, then flashing 10 times again. The sequence of the flashes mean something. Here again, consult your owner's guide for specifics.

Long story short, after awaking to find the LED flashing, I then turned the TV on and voila-my big screen was back minus that pesky PIP box prominently displayed.

I hope this helps someone like it helped me!! Truly a Blessing for sure.

Sounds like the cleaning job wasn't good enough to get all the dirt. Try a Panasonic cleaning tape; if that doesn't work, find a local repair shop to do a good hand cleaning.

Canon powershot g3 no image on lcd

Assuming you are recording images on to the memory card[are you?]. Is is a 'peer through the screen to take model or can you use a normal viewfinder? If the latter I would learn to live without looking at the images ,until yo can see them on the screen[computer or TV] at home. Otherwise at this age it will be new camera time I feel, But do get onto Canon webs site technical support there may be a simple solution.
