This is usually the case when there is some kind of software corruption in the operating system. In this case, the device may need a master (in which all the data is erased). You will have to backup your phone if you are going to do a hard reset.

The other thing that might be worth doing is reinstalling the software with the CD provided in the pack.

If none of these work, then you'll have to take it to the service centre for repair

To master reset: go into the start menu, then system tools, and selecting master reset

When i call someone they can barely hear me

If it happens to everyone you call it is a problem with the phone itself. Either the mic is damaged or the transmitter is failing. It needs professonal service. Otherwise, there are inexpensive replacements all over eBay.

If it happens from time-to-time with different people it is a connection problem. The only thing you can do is update roaming or restart your phone. If you use Verizon dial *228 and select option 2 to update roaming. Verizon says to do this once per month or after traveling 20+ miles. In the case of non-Verizon phones take out the battery and then put it back in and turn on the phone.

If it only happens with one person, their phone has a problem, not yours.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Motorola q randomly restarts and my text messages erase

I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q randomly restarting problem.

What has most likely happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will act erratically, freeze, or no longer finish (or even start) its boot sequence.

This is a very common situation with many phones; also with MP3 players, GPS devices and cameras.

The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.)

If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times.

My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone.

I hope that helps.

Moto Q gets off

I am afraid there can be a plethora of possible problems here. But I recommend trying a few things before going to your dealer. First, try removing the battery and replacing it. Second, I recommend quality battery care. Read the owners manual for how to maintain your battery. It may be helpful to allow your battery to run all the way down. Then recharge it to full (but do not overcharge your batter). Then run it all the way down again. Third try replacing the battery or having a second one handy. Fourth, try removing any programs you added and then reinstall them one at a time. Finally, IF ALL ELSE FAILS try a Master Reset. Remember that a master reset will delete everything you have added to your phone. To do this you need to go to Start, System Tools, Master Reset. Good luck.

How to prevent my nokia 3230 from restarting by itself?

this should do the trick...press star, call button(the green one), three, and power button all together while powering up your phone..press them until formatting comes out then you release them..note: don't release buttons until formatting does not appear....try and try until you succeed

I have tried the Motorola and Verizon sites (tried the store as well) and the software is not available to flash the phone. Do you know of a site that would still have it available? Or can this question be sent to Paul to further comment on it? All I want to do is recover the phone numbers, notes and calandar from the phone via Activesync or Windows.
