My laptop have no sound - Compaq Audio Players & Recorders

IF you're allowing to adjust the sound volume from your laptop,,, that's means that you have good sound driver software. try to connect audio system or headsets in audio input jack, If there's no sound come out from the headsets?,, update your sound driver and wait for the results. Having the sound from the headsets and nothing from laptop speakers... the speakers of your laptop is defective.

you need a sound driver . what is the make of your laptop and model number of your laptop .. check with manufucture website you will find all the drivers for your laptop if you having problem locating sound driver online then kindly send me your laptop make and model number i will provide you with sound driver .

do you get sound if you plugin headphones to your laptop?
does the speaker work with any other sound device? (mp3 players, etc)

Try pressing the sound up button on the top of the keyborad. There are 3 buttons sound up, sound down and mute. It appears that the sound control on windows is independant of the buttons.

Solution:

i) try somother headset(if you have spare ones...with u), if prob still exists there must problem with sound port(inbuilt sound on your laptop) which is not allowing the wire or chord of your headset to completely plugin to your laptop sound port.....

it is like this  connecting wire is  paritally inside your laptop sound port and partially outside and leading to sounds from both laptop speaker(builtin) and the headset you are connecting.....

easy! install the sound driver. if still no sound, increase the volume...

install your laptops proper driver for your sound and wlan chipset.
