Greetings my name is Mark and I will be glad to assist you. Most of my customers have this same issue and it is directly due to high memory loss (Ram). Find out what kind of ram chips you need and how much you can install in your computer. They are very easy as long as you get the righ amount. Google ram.com and it will guide you to the site you need. Take care.
Be mucho blessed,
Mark

Can I get rid of borders above and below my screen when watching netfix on my pc

What's probably going on here is that the video your watching is a different aspect ratio than your monitor. So for the video to completely cover your monitor it would either need to be stretched, or have part of the video cropped off on the sides. Instead of distorting or cropping the image the black borders are shown. Netflix doesn't provide a way to change this currently. A work-around though, would be to change the resolution on your monitor. So if for example your monitor has an aspect ratio of 16:10 (like 1920x1200), and the video is 16:9 (like 1920x1080), you would change your resolution from 1920x1200 down to 1920x1080. (9/16 * 1920 = 1080)

Try installing the chrome browser. It updates flash player internally, so it runs most videos without the need for updates. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

When playing a game or watching a video clip from you tube and I click full screen mode it goes all white. Why is that it only does in full screen and since I had to update adobe for the game to work?

Your PC wont support full screen, it may have to do with the video card you have installed, if you have an onboard Video card and this happens it could be that it is too much video memory and your computer is working too hard to make it go full screen, also could be a driver issue. First thing I need to know is if you have an attached video card or an onboard then we can talk. Good luck my friend.

My screen goes black after startup

Try a different monitor, I am sure this sounds overly simplistic to you but, I have seen in my customers have just that, a bad monitor.

If another monitor does the same thing, then you should try another video card. If the video in on the motherboard, there should be a AGP, PCI-e, or an empty PCI slot to put a video card in.

Are you using a built-in video card? it's a video card problem. It's either the memory alloted for your video card is too small. Another thing is the driver of your video card needs to be updated.

Please do these steps:

Right-click on the Desktop > Properties > Settings tab > Click Advance button at the bottom > Go to Adapter tab. Tell me everything under the Adapter Information.

Thanks!

I have Intervideo WinDVD 5 on my computer. When I try to play a DVD with it, the video is fine in the smaller window, but goes black when I go to full screen. The audio is fine.

Could be your video card can't support the full screen. I reckon you have an old PC. The latest version of WINDVD is 9.
