Camera comes on but immediately turns back off. It will stay on if it is in favorites mode but not as a camera.

Not sure what favorites mode is, but I'd guess that the battery is old and needs to be replaced. If the battery is holding a charge then it could be a functional problem with the camera. Do you get any error codes?

I have a kodak easy share z-612. it switches modes randomly

You could have a problem that requires professional repair, but a simple download MIGHT solve the problem. I suggest that you visit the Kodak download site (link below) and install the latest firmware for your camera. While you're there you might also want to download and install the latest EasyShare software.

My Kodak easy share M1063 digital camera wont stay on

This problem is frequently due to corroded battery terminals inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

I had the same problem. All I did was hold the lens out when it tun so that when it shuts off, the lens is still out. Then I moved it around a bit. Something was stuck in the lens and when I moved the lens around, it came out. So now it functions normally :] I hope I helped!

Will Not View All Pictures In Photo Directory

Take the camera and tag the pictures and select all of them and tag/ favorite and protect and tag some more directories you can create. That will delay transfering the pictures but all of them will transfer to files.
