My 2002 GC 4wd automatic trans 4.0 engine shuts down only when the outside air temp is above 80 degrees. When approaching a red light / stop sign, I let off the gas pedal and at times it will shut down rpms gradually go to zero. At cruise, 50 mph the engine feels like it shuts down and starts up again. very abrupt and sudden with no codes. Dealer can find nothing wrong. I replaced the Idle control valve, did not help much if at all. PCM? When it shuts down at low RPM, I can start it right up again, no problem.

If a dealer can not fix it, we can't guess at the unknown

Now your involved with a dealer leave it there, until
they solve it. Somebody has to stay with it, to a successfull
conclusion.

You could ask around about repair shops that are good at
diagnostics & drivability issues

Have you investigated the cooling system. Inspected all of those sensors? Normally a bad sensor would throw a code out, but it's worth a shot. Also go to basic stuff. Just throwing out ideas, flush and fill, thermostat, etc. Sometimes the biggest pain in the but is the easy stuff.

Hope this helps! Don't forget to rate.

My 2002 jeep grand cherokee when the weather goes above 100 degree it starts to stall went i stop at a red light or stop sign.

Hmm ... this sounds like a classic case of vapour lock. If the temp gauge does not go up (Which could indicate a bad head gasket, a clogged radiator, a dead fan, a bad water pump), then what is most likely happening, is that the gas is getting hot enough to boil, and is doing just that: Which makes it impossible for air and more gas to be drawn through it, effectively suffocating the engine.

Air temp indicator only reads temps below 50 degrees

Ambient air temp sensor could be the cause. Normally located in front grille area.

Air Conditioner stops blowing cold air when vehicle is not moving

plus one on the cooling fan problem. if it was low on charge then as you slow down, condensor temps and line prressures would raise therefore it would cool at low speed and and not when moving since the incoming air would drop system temp, reducing line pressure and then cusing compressor to cycle. the auxillary cooling fans must be on whenever a/c is on, if not, thats your problem. get this taken care of because if you get stuck in traffic, your engine will overheat also if fans are not running
