I have a D-Link wireless router model DIR-625. I have a wirless laptop and it works wonderfully with my laptop. I recently bought another computer and a D-Link wireless network adapter model DWA-130. I installed the adapter no problem. Then I put it in to one of my outlets it lights up and shows me the networks I can connect to. I click on my network place in my security code and it begins to load. Then a message pops up that says could not connect to your network. So I press the diagnose problem button. It states could not connect to netowrk due to unknown error. I have tried to reset the router that did no good. I also have the full version of Network Magic if that makes any difference at all. Any help would be great. ^-^
Called the Support Line. They suggested changing the DNS Server gateway to 4.2.2.2 and the alternate to 4.2.2.3. Leave Obtain IP Address automatically. Make these changes in the properties of the NIC card. Also uncheck IPv6.
Sometimes the security settings will only let certain MAC addresses connect to the network as well as the password protection. Make certain that yours isn't filtering out MAC addresses.

I cannot connect my laptops to my home wireless networks
I have the sam eproblem. An HP Laptop and HP Desktop. Tried connecting via the LAN connection, but could not find my router. Tried eliminating the need to check the MAC address, but still does not work.
What I did was code in an IP address on the IP4 setting. That found the router, but then I could not get Internet access. I tried to put an IP address in IPv6 but for some reason it would not accept. I am not a networking expert, so not sure what is wrong. As usual the help is no help.
