You need to install EZTUNE but you need to go here first:

Rectangle translucent image with foreign writing with 1024x768-60Hz pop's up in middle of screen followed by white box with red, green and blue on bottom of box with OSD foreign writing on it.how d

Never heard of that before, but it sure sounds by the helpful details given for this problem that you sure arent/weren't at a secure site. If you have windows XP, 7 or a microsoft system go into internet explorer, Tools at the top of the menu, then Internet options at the very bottom of that dropdown menu. Immediately delete all of you internet history and "cookies" on the sys, you can also go to Start,Programs,Accessories,System tools, "Disk Cleanup". Reboot after all the cleaning and do a virus check asap... lets hope you've got a VP program

Have an HP monitor and have a white rectangular shaped box that pops up in the center of the screen constantly, in the center of the box it says OSD Lockout. Can not get it to go away. What do I do?

To resolve the issue you can hold the power button of the monitor until you get another message something similar to "OSD unlocked". Now if the problem continues, switch off the monitor and remove the power cable then let it sit for a couple of minutes to 5 and connect it again.

They say theft mode enable and doing like screensaver

"To resume normal operation of the monitor, connect it to the original system and use the HP Display Assistant Utility to disable theft deterrence (Option 1) or install the HP Display Assistant on the new system (Option 2)."

This happens when you move parts from one pc to another.

Cheers

System passes the logon screen

Keep tapping the F8 key while you boot your machine, hopefully you will get a black screen with some white writting on it.
Using the up and down arrows select Boot Safe Mode without Networking.
Once you boot into safe mode go to programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and follow the wizard to restore your machine back to a time and date before you installed the modem software.

How do you adjust monitor contrast--it is a Dell 20" e207wfp flat panel.

you can do it manually through the monitor control.
also you can do it through the software, if you have installed the proper driver for the graphics controller.

thanks

Emachines T2385 startup problem

Psu is a Power Supply issue but the black screen with a blinking white line is not.
The blinking white line can mean there is no instructions to tell the Computer to boot up. Which could be possibly the system battery (cmos) or Hard Drive.
I would narrow those 3 things down first.
