You need to provide more information. What is it doing? Is it simply not powering on? If you are using the Slim Xbox make sure its in the right USB adapter. If your using an old Xbox try placing your adapter in different USB ports to see if that works. If none of this helps, try cleaning the sensors with a dry, soft cloth. It should still be under warranty just send it in if you cant get it to work after all this.

SOURCE: I have a xbox 360

A likely reason this problem is occurring is that you are drawing to much power from a single outlet. Try plugging in your Xbox to a different electrical socket. If this problem persists please comment so that I can try to further assist you.

Kinectic requires update

You must update. Xbox requires it for proper functioning in the xbox kinect system. This enables the xbox to recognize your kinect camera and adds more features. So you not updating it wont let it work. Its the way Xbox companies makes their money.

I bought the xbox Kinect and I have a media room so the xbox is in the back of the room and TV in front. I got two 10 ft extension cables for the kinect sensor, but it will not work. I can get the light to...

you need at least 4m from the kinect to you for it to function correctly, if you are nearer than that you can try putting the kinect higher up which will gain you some distance

Trying to connect the kinect

First off make sure you have at least 190 mb of space in your HDD before trying to set up your kinect.
Setup:
Step 1: Make sure your xbox 360 is properly connected to the television with the AV cables and power cable to an outlet.
Step 2: Place sensor under or on top of your television on a stable flat surface.
Step 3: Depending on your xbox the sensor has two different connections. If you have the new slim xbox 360 then you do not need the extra add on connection you simply connect it to a special port for it on the back of your xbox 360 slim. If it is a older version xbox then you will need the extra power adaptor since it will not work without it.(Cable with power connection)
Step 4; (ONLY FOR OLDER VERSION XBOX 360): If you have a wireless connection adaptor unplug it from the usb port in the back of the xbox 360 and connect the kinect sensor's power adaptor into the port you took the wireless connection adaptor off of. There should be a special cable that will act as an extension for the wireless connection adaptor you unplugged this is so you can connect it directly to the usb ports in the front of the xbox 360. Then plug the end with the power outlet connector of the kinect sensor power adaptor into the wall socket.
Step 5: Turn on the xbox 360 and the kinect sensor should move up and down to adjust.
Step 6: Put kinect game in and it will guide you through kinect settings and your on your way to start playing! Have Fun!

Does a bluetooth earpiece work for a xbox 360 kinect

No a bluetooth headset will not work with the Kinect. The Kinect has a mic built in to the unit to pick up sound from the entire room.

I have got the xbox kinect an it is saying that the senser is not leavel

Error: The Kinect Sensor is not level (C0051209)
Place the sensor on a level surface and try again. Here's what to do to fix this problem:
- Turn off your Xbox 360 console. - Make sure the Kinect sensor is positioned on a flat, level surface. - Turn your console on to see if the problem still occurs.
This error can also occur if your sensor is very hot or cold. In this case, wait for the sensor to reach room temperature (approximately 70 °F or 21 °C), and then try using the sensor again.
If these steps do not solve the problem, the sensor will need to be repaired. To start the online repair process, go to myservice.xbox.com.
