Check where you bought the one which is now cracked, you may have had a guarantee on it which lasts a few years?

SOURCE: My Pegusa toilet tank is

Hmm, I don't recognize those model numbers or not, you will want to check with a hardware store, give them those numbers and see if they can contact Pegasus to verify. Do you have a Home Depot near you? They are official Pegasus dealers and can definitely locate the model for you, unfortunately I do not see it, but I am sure they make an equivalent replacement.

Thanks
Tim

SOURCE: My toilet only leaks when flushed. It seems to be

If you have 2-part toilet, then tank is attached to bowl with 2 bolts.
Look inside tank and you can see bolts with rubber washers located on either side of flush valve.
The 2 bolts hold tank and bowl together and between tank and bowl is a washer called the spud washer.
So spud washer could be leaking ... or 2 bolts could be leaking.

1) If bolts are leaking, there is usually dripping all the time, and drips are visible on bottoms of bolts
If spud washer is leaking, then tank could leak only when tank is flushed.

2) First thing to try is tightening nuts on the 2 bolts. Nuts may be loose. Tighten nuts a few turns, and check if toilet still leaks.

3) To fix a spud washer, you usually need a new generic one from hardware store.
Newer tanks with 1.6 gallon flush have special sized spud washer.
geno_3245_105.jpgTank is upside down and spud washer is fit over flush valve

If you cannot find new spud washer, re-use old one and smear retorseal on it during re-assembly to make sure it seals. Rectoseal is good for many home plumbing repairs. More about that in a moment.

4) To take apart tank: Disconnect supply line to tank. Empty water out of tank. Remove nuts from bolts. Lift tank off. Wash out tank with hose. Make sure there is no sand or sediment left in bottom that might clog up flush holes located inside bowl after tank is re-assembled.

5) Remove old spud washer, and put new one on. Do a google-image search for 'spud washer' if you need more photos. New spud washer fits over flush valve. That's it. And then reassemble tank.
If you want to apply rectorseal to washer, put washer on as shown in photo above. Then smear-or-gawm rectorseal over area of washer that sits on bowl. Rectorseal will make sure there is no more leaking.

New toilet 540 fluidmaster water in tank keeps topping off every half hour

The problem may be the flapper that seals between the tank and bowl is leaking or the overflow pipe may have a crack in it. I wouled replace the flapper first and check the overflow pipe for cracks.
Hope this helps.

Toilet tank to bowl small leak

You need to replace the tank to bowl nuts, washers, and gaskets as well as the flush valve gasket. One word of caution. When installing the new bolts to hold the tank in, place a rubber gasket under the washer inside the tank, and also one on each bolt under the washer underneath the tank. If you omit the one under the tank you may end up cracking the tank when you tighten it down.

Where do I find a part number on an Eljer toilet tank?

You can purchass a whole new fixture for the same cost as just the tank I believe...
any eljer tank will fit your toilet bowl... they are pretty universal.
Does the current tank have a crack or something?you can replace the seals easilly enough if the tank is just leaking at the seal ... and the flush mechanism is also easy to replace , should that be the reson to swap out tanks too.

We have a toilet problem now for 8 years since we bought our place, the toilet leaks onto our bathroom floor we know where the leak is someone have put silicone around the plastic valve right @ the bottom...

With out seeing it, it is hard to actually know what the problem is, but it sounds like it is either where the water line enters the tank, or the gasket between the tank and the bowl. Either way there should not be any silicone. The water line flows into the fill and shut off valve. If it is leaking from there get a whole new valve for under $20.00. For the gasket between the tank and the bowl you have to remove the tank and replace the gasket.

What many people are unaware of is a small crack in the tank and rarely a small crack in the bowl. If the leak is not from one of the two things I mentioned above it has to be a crack and in that case a new toilet.

If you can not tell where the water is coming from it could be a crack or the wax ring under the toilet may need replaced. You might want to call a plumber and get a free estimate on what the problem is.

Good luck with this.

Crack in toilet water holding tank

If this crack wasn't caused by you, and it was a factory defect.
I think you should call a plumber and have him replace it,
and get you a new toilet for free from the wholesaler. But
of course you will need to pay the labor of the plumber.

All my best to you

Toilet tank cracked

You can find a replacement tank on the manufactures website. However, if it's not leaking or leaking very little you can cover the crack, on the inside of the tank, with an epoxy compound. There is a whole lot of pressure on the inside of a tank and typically when they crack it shows up as a very slow leak as the water seeps through the crack. When using the epoxy don't try to put it just in or on the crack. Seal an area a couple inches either side of the crack. These are usually hair line cracks and you won't necessarily be able to see the entire area of damage.

There is a long hollow tube behind the fluhing plug that cracked can it be replaced or do i need a new tank?

You can replace that tube. It is part of the complete flushing assembly. Replacements can be purchased in the plumbing section of your local home improvement or hardware store. You will have to remove the tank from the toilet, so buy a new tank-toilet seal as well.

Let my tank freeze and crack on the perfecta model EZ33 959. Where can I order a new one

If the tank froze and broke it is highly likely the toilet itself may have a crack somewhere inside. You may buy the tank and find out later on the toilet itself it cracked. You have then wasted your money. Buying the tank and paying the shipping is more than likely about as much as a whole new toilet. My advice is to buy a new toilet.

Any fix for crack in tank other than getting a new

no!! to do it right get the numbers from inside the tank and go get you a new one, this is the only safe way to fix it, if you put a sealer on it and someone sits back you will take a chance of breaking it the rest of the way that could result in serouis injury
