What does fuse look like?

So far so good. I have the pcb panel exposed. I don't see anything that looks like a fuse. Can you describe what I am looking for a little better? It seems that on the panel everything is kindof glued on... does that make sense?

The fuse is usually a glass tube (automotive type) but the board is covered in a thick clear goo to protect the components on the board from moisture. The board will have to be replaced if the fuse is bad.

Check to see if the electrical breaker is working for that circuit. Next check the outlet that the machine is plugged into (115Vac). If all is, so far, copescetic, Turn off the breaker and pull the control panel. Test the "button" with a multimeter. If it is solid state, turn the breaker back on and CAREFULLY test to see if there is voltage coming into the panel. If not, look for a blown fuse. If no blown fuse and voltage is there, replace control board! Good luck!

Fisher and Paykel DS603 no power

There is a thermo fuse in this unit and it can cause the controller not to power up. It is located on the heater plate, if the unit got too hot this will cause this fuse to blow and cause not power to the controller to a singe drawer unit only, this would not shut down both drawer though. This fuse is not replaceable other than replacing the plate itself. Get back to me if you need part numbers and I can get them for you or you can call Fisher and Pakel directly and they are 24 hours a day service call center. The plate is tricky to replace and you will have to change both seals at the same time, not real pricey though.

I hope this helps, keep the unit, its a good dishwasher.. Good Luck

Will not run no lights or anything

The most probable thing wrong is going to be a blown fuse on the control panel. To check for that, disconnect power to dishwasher by turning off circuit breaker ,remove torx headed screws from around the inner door, seperate inner/outer door panel, remove the plastic cover off of the control panel, and use a multimeter set to measure ohms and remove the 2 wires to the thermal fuse and check for continuty with ZERO ohms resistiance on the thermal fuse. IF the fuse is blown the meter display will show OL or the display will not change...if using a meter with a needle the needle will not move if the fuse is blown..if the fuse is good the display will show 0.00-1.00 on a digital meter and the needle will swing all the way to the right and stay there on analog meter. If the fuse does check to be good the most likely cause of the diswasher not running will be the door switches. Here is what the fuse looks likeoldtech2332_88.jpg

Good luck i hope i helped you to fix your dishwahser,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post it may just be a loose/burnt connection in the dishwasher junction box.

**Now I would start by first shutting off the first**

Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom )...

...and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

Typically this will manifest in just the manner you've described. It is possible the control may be the culprit, but I'd check the jinction first.

Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you further if necessary. I'd still suggest looking into the possible recall for your machine though.

There is water on the bottom and no power

It sounds like you lost power during a cycle. It is most likely the thermal fuse.

Take a look at this link I put together it will explain the places you can loose power to a dishwasher but on this model I would suspect the thermal fuse. If your model is KUDU02FR the part number for this fuse is W10258275, it looks like a small cylinder with two wires attached, it is on the control board in the upper door, removing the screws from the inner door will let you take the front panel off and expose the control.

It will not start

Start with the simple things and work your way from there. You will be amazed how many people call a plumber who flips a breaker or simply clears a stuck float valve (for $80 minimal fee).

If no lights are coming on.

First check the breaker to the machine.

If you have an exposed power source to the machine such as a plug or junction box open the box and check the wiring is intact and not rusted etc. Take care here and shut the breaker off first.

No go so far?

Check if your float valve is jammed.

The valve is a safety feature to stop the machine from over filling. If anything gets under the valve it will jam open and stop the machine.
Look inside the machine on the floor will be a small float valve. Looks like a small upside down cup. Lift it and clear anything from underneath.

Not the float valve either?

Check the door interlock latch.

Much like a washing machine a dishwasher will only operate with the door closed (or when it thinks it is closed!). There is a metal tab that engages a switch in the door. This is the same switch that activates as you operate the handle to open the door. If it is misaligned it will not signal the machine that the door is closed and the machine will not operate.

You can check this by overriding the locking tab. Put a screwdriver in the door latch and press the switch. You should see the lights come on and power flow to the machine.

Note: if the machine is in run mode you will get water spraying.

To fix this problem bend the tab to properly engage the switch. Or if necessary loosen the screws retaining the switch and move it to correctly align with the tab.

Not it?

OK now you are into electronics.

First is quite simple. Some units have an internal fuse to protect the control panel. Check that first. Take your time and take care. Turn the breaker off.

The control panel is screwed in place. Remove the screws and gently remove the control panel. Take care not to have parts of the door latch fall out or springs drop out etc. On newer units it is very simple as it is just a circuit board. Look for the fuse and check that it is OK. Replace if necessary with correctly rated thermal fuse.

Kenmore Elite Dishwasher(665.15979990) wont drain

If the control panel is still lighting up I think it the thermal fuse has blown if you can take out the control panel and in that you will find the fuse you can test this with ohm test and here is a pic of what the fuse looks like and if you do replace this make sure you replace the new wires that come with the new fuse good luck hope this helps

My dishwasher has no power not even on the touch panel leds lights. I checked the connections.. Is there a reset button or a fuse i can replace or reset?

Check the appropriate breaker in your house electrical panel--push off, then on. If still nothing, look for a removable panel at the bottom under the door. Any internal fuses or breakers will be accessible there.

Power going to dishwasher but nothing happens??

Gina, you probably blew a thermal fuse that sits on the control board. Easy fix. Have your husband first check the wiring to the dishwasher. Remove the toe panel and make sure the wire nut connections are good. If that is ok, he will have to remove the inner door screws to get to the control board. Lift out the inner door. Remove the control board cover, it just snaps off. He will see the thermal fuse on the upper right side. I will attach a photo of what it looks back
