Took delivery(from Amazon) yesterday of a Kubik Edge II 8GB MP3 player. Followed charging procedure with Kubik AC Mains adapter ..4 hours charging after which the player showed only a blank blue screen and will not respond to any commands or resetting.I let the battery run out overnight until the screen went off but reconnecting to my computer with the USB supplied brings no reaction . only the same unresponsive blue screen. your help please??

Just a thought... There's a "Fn" Key located beside the Start key, when you press this "FN" key + F5, the screen goes black, and if you press again, the screen goes back to normal... Could this be the problem?

I tried to contact Coby via their website email links (General and Techsupport) to no reply. I returned it for a full refund to the store and bought a Emerson. That worked.

it should turn off if you hold the reset (on) switch in the on position for ten to fifteen seconds. if that doesn't work, try downloading the firmware update. but be careful, i had the same problems, and when i downloaded the update...it ruined the mp3 player, and sansa would not help
