just disconnect tv connection and plugin the monitor connector the display should come automatically. then go to nvidia control panel and connect tv and then configure the dual display. then both will again work again.
contact the shop / place you purchased it from and they should be able to give you info of where to send it and what to do - they should have a section on there website where you can go through the return process and you will most likely need to get an RMA number to authorise the return / replacement.
How much power does your power supply give? It could be that your power supply cannot take the power of your videocard. They say it is recommended to have at least 700watts of power with that videocard as it consumes a lot of power.
does it have a fan on card if so is it working or is heat sink etc blocked by fluff and dirt if so clean it try again. this sort of thing happens to cpu,s as well I regularly remove and clean fans and heat sinks
Hi rajiv2612. Suggest you check for any software update's from GeForce for you're 8600 GT. Also check for any software patches for the game (s). (Include windows update service as well). The normal stuff like running windows system defrag & disk cleanup utilities should be run once a month for gamers. Lastly, if you feel heat may be an issue. Open the PC case & leave opened while playing the game that seems to slow down the most. If the game does not slow down (After checking & updating all of the above), than maybe you need to add a 3" fan to the case, so fresh air blows directly onto the 8600 GT.
You bought them inJan 08 and in August 08 the second pait quit working? ask your money back and indeed go for somethign else, ATI Makes some good cards as well.
On the other hand, it remains quite strange that 4 cards died in 8 months time. Did ASUS find a cause for it? i think you should not give up on them but invite them to find the cause of this and come up with a proper solution.
