Hey there storreychris,

Your problem is filed under Kenwood. If so, you're in luck!

Click here, it will bring to a page authored by one of our best technicians (Robotek). He outlines the procedure for clearing the code on most Kenwood models.

If this gets you going, don't forget to give Robotek a FixYa rating (me as well).

Mike

It sounds like you need the vehicle side of the harness. Before you go hardwiring the radio, I recommend you visit a couple of websites, scosche and PAC. Sometimes they have the vehicle side of the harness available. Please do this before you fry your electrical system. Hope this helps

Ive bought a standard cd player to replace my cassette player. the cd player is connected but asks for an unlock code

Did you buy a stock cd player from another vehicle? If so, you may be screwed. You usually have to have the vin number of the original vehicle to obtain the code from the dealer. This insures that the radio isn't stolen. If you purchased an aftermarket radio, there shouldn't be a code. If you did buy an aftermarket cd player and it requires a code, what brand? Let me know and I will see if I can help.

I have 1997 Chevy Blazer with a a Delco AM/FM/CD player with theft lock. The radio plays but the CD player codes ERR, then ejects the CD. Is this a theft lock problem...I bought the truck used and there is...

The err message has nothing th do with theft lock. More than likely the laser assembly is bad. You are probably better off replacing the deck with an aftermarket one.
