My computer doesnt register my SD card when it's inserted into the built in SD reader in my acer extensa 5620, iv gone into my computer and refreshed the page and it still wont work. Any help woukd be greatly appreciated!

That "5 in 1 card reader" is exactly what it says it is: a UNIVERSAL CARD READER.
All you have to do is to insert the card into the slot and the machine will detect it automatically and will read it.
The microSD cards should be inserted first into a microSD card adapter and after that the both should be inserted into the slot.
As for downloading music right on the microSD card do like this:
# insert the microSD card into its adapter [together should look like a regular SD card]
# insert the adapter into the slot
# the machine will detect the SD card [just wait until it is detected]
# choose your song [mp3, wma etc.]
# right-click on the song and where it asks whre to be downloaded you will choose MY COMPUTER > double-click > the letter corresponding to your SD card.
You're done!
Do the same with all songs.

Check "My Computer" and see if the icon is there for the SD slot.

You simply insert the card in, and it will click into place to get it out again, push it in again, and it will "Unlatch" and pop out. Just make sure you are in the correct slot.

yes i think so,what u mean by the plastic though,generally the sd card is inserted into some sort of device and then inserted into the computer's reader i suppose u are talking about the inbuilt the reader in the laptop

I'm assuming you are trying to place the sd memory chip from your camera into the machine. If the machine has an sd slot, it will be in the front just to the left of the three ports or jacks for headphone, mic, etc... If it doesn't the you will need either a usb cable to attach your camera or an sd card reader that plugs into the usb port. You should be able to get either of these at the same place you got the camera.

Is the SD reader built in? If so, you should just be able to insert the SD card into the slot, and it should appear in My Computer.
