My laptop is advent 9112,vista base,with built in camera.i m unable to active this camera.any suggestion plz.

Please find the key combination (for wireless/switch) for different Advent laptop models:

Advent 7096 ---- Button next to the power button
Advent 7100 ---- Fn / F2
Advent 7104 ---- Fn / F2
Advent 7201 ---- wireless key top right and then Fn / F2
Advent 8117 ---- small slide switch on the front of laptop


I hope this will resolve the issue.

you cam use youcam software to open your web camera

possiblr solution could be to hold down the FN key, while pressing the f11 key, you may have to do this a few times

well in vista you cant use the camera without opening something like windows movie maker or other third party software,but in xp ou can go to "my computer" and select the cam from the list, and not too many webcams have brightness adjustments unless they utilize a third party software....the lighting i based on what you have in the room. hope this helps at least a little :)

If you have the xp or vista disk just set the cd as the boot disk and go through the set up and it will give you the option to format your disk

Press F8 on booting up. Choose Administrator as account, no password. Go into control panel, user accounts, select your account, select change password, type in new password, re-type password, apply settings, close out re-boot, select your account type in new password.
