Turntable running slow

Hi Ken,

it is a Technics Frequency Generator Servo (Belt drive SL-23). I have four different belts and neither one of them works. Two are too slow and one is too fast and the other one is slow and fast.

I changed the belt before that I got off of an old turn table. It deteriorated.

I would appreciate any help.

So far I am also having Gateway Monitor problems and Canon Mp560 printer problems

Thank you,.

I need a 100sl 100 belt drive for a Ryobi radial arm saw or some equivelent

If anyone is looking for the 100SL 100 belt for the Ryobi radial arm saw, I was able to locate a supplier through a phone call with a Ryobi technician last month. Here is where I got them http://store.beltpalace.com/100sl100.html and they were able to ship to my location in a matter of days.

I have a technics sl-b5 turntable that i need to replace the drive belt on. to do that i need to remove the platter. how do i remove the platter?

on the center pin, there is a small c clip,, use a small pick or screwdriver, it prys off, once thats off, you should be able to lift it right off,, before you do that ,, if the rubber plate has been removed, you should have sight holes in it,, most the time you can see the belt, if it broke, you need to remove the metal platter, but if it just came off , you can usually put it back on through the sight holes

How do i install a belt on technics turntable sl-bd22

If you remove the rubber pad, you should be able to grasp the metal table. A gentle tap onto the center spindle while pulling up on the table should release the table. Place the new belt onto the underside of the table. Replace the table onto the spindle. Then feed the belt over the motor hub.

I have a SL-B30 that when turned on won't start up.

if your model does not say "direct drive" on the front then it sounds like your belt came off. this video will show you how to put it back on

Technics SL-J1 turntable drive belt

Hello Cliff,
You will need 2 belts, if the turntable belt is gone the other is not far behind . One for the turntable size 23.6 inch by .188 and one for the tracking motor that is in the top cover part, is a 3.0 inch by .046 belt. best place to get them is at kenselectronics.com part numbers 1407-201 and AV-SBS3.0 if you have been checking around you will see other sizes, I have a SL-J1 and have used these and they work perfectly.

Technics sl-1610 mk 2 turntable

Unfortunately, it does sound like a drive issue. Just so you know, these units are direct drive, so there is no physical motor. It's just a bunch of various circuits which drive the unit, and if any one of them go bad, it will affect your turntable speed. You will need to have this looked at by a service technician to determine which circuit is faulty.
