I would like to know how to put on a Technics SL-J110 Belt Drive back on please.

For most of the belt drive turntable the procedure is more les the same:
Pull up the rubber mat, pull up the platterand find the belt. If the belt is removed from the platter, replace it with theglossy side outward. Pull the platter back at the original position. Turn untilone of the 2 big openings come over the motor pulley. With your finger placethe belt from the platter at the motor pulley. Pull the rubber mat back. Youare ready. Here is a schematic for all the above:technical114_86.jpg

Technics SL - 110R recoed deck screeches after playing for 5 mins - may need a new band? can anyone advise who could supply and repair it?

A drive belt would effect the speed of the player not its quality. Also, I believe that the model you posted is a direct drive unit which would not have a belt. There is something else going on here. It is possible that the cartridge has a problem. This could explain the sound you are hearing. It soulc also be within the receiver that you are using. I would suspect a problem with the receiver before the turntable. The Phono input at the receiver has an extra stage of amplification that can be failing. I would try the turntable on another receiver first.

Have a teac p-a 400 turntable, that was just given to me. i see a rubber pad that goes on top of turntable, the turntable made out of metal, and a oversized rubber band. I put the rubber band around the...

I'm guessing that the belt is too large (stretched). Normally it should be small enough to stay on the platter itself. Install the platter and place the belt around the motor hub (white plastic), If the belt is too loose, it will just sit and not turn the platter. Try a new belt first as that is the least expensive option to try.

Keep us posted.

Sherwood RX 4105 no input for a turn table

Check for a line level switch on the turn table, it may be under the turn table itself lift the rubber mat and spin the table by hand, it may not have one or it could be on the back.
You can buy a phono amp that will boost the phono signal. Check at Radio Shack or google it.
